Hello Minecraft Community! Today I present you my latest redstone/command block creation: It’s a simple team deathmatch minigame, but with controllable ships and cannons! You will need at least 2 players to play, but it's recommended to play with at least 2-3 players per team. There's no team size limit though.

Rules & Instructions
-Winning conditions:
-Destroying the enemy ship: Use your cannons to hit your oponent’s ship. Each team has 30 hitpoints and it’s shown in the player’s XP bar. Sometimes the cannonball can deal multiple damage or no damage at all depending on where you shoot the ship. -Killing the enemy crew: Each player has 5 lives. If the whole crew loses all their lives, they also lose the game. As simple as that! A death counter is shown for all players in the match and players that lost all their lives becomes spectators. Players can be killed with cannonballs or you can board the enemy ship as well.
-Setting the teams and the captains:
There are 2 teams in this minigame: Pirates and the Crown. You can choose between them by standing on the marked areas in the tavern. When both teams are ready, they need to press the buttons at the same time to start the game. If a player is not in any team, it becomes a spectator.
Remember to set the team’s captain as well! The captain is the only player that can control the ship and there’s only one per team. To be the captain, just stand on the white wool and press the button next to it.
-Controlling your ship
The ship controls are pretty simple. Use the pressure plates to move the ship forward or turn it left or right. Remember: In order to control your ship you need to be the captain! Also you cannot control your enemy’s ship. Even if you’re set as a captain. You can’t sail too close to islands or ships. So, unfortunately, ramming does not work in this game.
-Shooting and aiming the cannons
To use the cannons, stand behind it, aim with your mouse (left, middle or right) and then press the lever. Cannons have a reload time as well and it’s shown in the chat when reloading/reloaded.
-Ship damage
Cannonballs can damage your ship and make your crew and masts vulnerable! If a mast is destroyed, your ship gets slower. Also damaged ships have a higher chance to receive multiple damage from cannonballs. Small tip: always try expose the least damaged side of your ship.
Warning: This game may lag due to cloning blocks and a large amount of entities being used. Low end PCs might not be able to play this minigame properly.
- Don't forget to enable command blocks when setting up a server. - I recommend the use of Optifine for better performance - If you're interested in creating a resource pack for this map: -The snowball = cannonball -TNT explosion sound = cannon firing -Rain sounds= sea and waves

As a map maker and someone who helped testing this map i can say, it is pretty fun to play! And Gs is working a lot on the map to make it even better! Wish you the best luck with your work and i`m glad to see you releasing this map!
Ok so I may be making a pretty obvious mistake here, but I went into the bar/tavern and made myself a captain and assigned the teams. Talked to the bartender and then went to the ship. Jumped on the forward panel and nothing happens. Am I making an obvious mistake here?
Thanks for the free map download by the way! I can tell you've put a lot of effort into this.

Ah the sample ship in the island? That one deoesnt move. You need to stay in the marked area in the tavern and press the button next to the redstone lamp when the team is ready. You need at least two players to start the game. Each one pressing the start button at the same time.
(you can set to gamemode 1, get a lever and set one of the teams as always ready, if you're alone. But the game might not work properly)
