I found a map breaking bug in the Adventure branch.
The greenhouse puzzle did not work at first on my playthrough, neither entering and exiting the branch or reinstalling the map fixed it. None of the buttons activated anything. After some examination of the redstone, I found that the comparator placed by the proximity detector was not detecting the item moving in the hopper clock so none of the needed commands were activating.
As I reinstalled the map, this seems to be a problem specific to me. However I had all the recommendations except the 4g of ram, I had only 2g, and I used a render distance of 12. It seems to be some kind of chunkloading or block update issue.
It does not seem to be happening to many if any players, but I'm just notifying you that this happened.

No, the item was there, I checked. The comparator was sitting next to the hoppers like a normal hopper clock, it just wasn't detecting that the hopper had an item.
You say the first puzzle is easy, I've been stuck on it for an hour, even with the four hint help, it's pretty darn difficult, I tried standing back and thinking, and that didn't work either.
just noticed a problem in the trivia branch. For the ender dragon question, when it tries to demonstrate how the dragon breaks end portal frames the frames dont break!

Odd. They have worked every time I tested it. I'll try and look at it again.

Oh, that explains a lot, I was trying to turn them all on, then a hint mentioned turning off, so then I got confused, I guess the "daylight over-rated" thing should've gave me the idea

I downloaded the map, but I can't get it to show up in my worlds list. I followed the instructions in the download instructions file, and am running a mac. I don't know if that makes a difference. Can someone help?

I've completed 7 branches so far and overall this one is even better than the last (especially the Boss and Arena branches).
However, I am completely stuck right now:
In the Labyrinthian branch, I've only found the Creeper and Zombie heads. I've wandered around for over an hour without finding the others. I've thoroughly marked my trail with torches and made sure to go down every path I see, but I still have no clue where the other skulls are.

Unless I really just can't figure it out.

I seem to be stuck in the gold ankh room in the escape branch, though. The lever closed the door behind me and there's no other way out. Can't kill myself using commands, can't starve to death. Is there anyway around this bug other than.. restarting the map?
The gold one? If I remember correctly you should be able to pull it again and just walk out.
The lever does nothing for me now. It closed the door when I flicked it the first time though.
Only thing I can think of is possibly related to the lever earlier in the gold branch? The jumping puzzle seemed to keep going once it was started.. so maybe I left the first lever 'off' and that's why the door isn't working/opening? I really don't know.
I have two fire charges, a book and a gold block.. hmm..

If you open the server up to lan with cheats enabled you should be able to go into creative and get out of there.

It seems like the sandstone blocks got unstuck from the sticky pistons somehow? The sticky pistons were retracted but the sandstone blocks still in the hallway.

Ah, that bug. You must have pulled the lever at the exact right moment to send a tick pulse into it. We'll have to add some repeaters or something and fix it.

Yes I am aware of this bug. It will be fixed in the next version. Unfortunately you'll have to go creative to get out for now.

Questing. yes this is 100%different from adventure.
racing. all you need is a timer.
and mini-games. like ender golf minecraft mini-golf.
no parkour at all
