Pixelmon Johto is a recreation project to rebuild the Kanto and Johto regions from the Pokemon games, and merge this with the Pixelmon mod. The map loosely follows the story, mainly intended as a free-roaming sandbox of your (my) favorite childhood games.
The aim of the map follows that of the core games. Go through Johto, collecting all 8 badges, and battling the Elite Four. From there, you can access Kanto, and defeat the original 8 gym leaders. After that, you make your way up Mt. Silver, and challenge the game champion, Red.
This map includes hundreds of trainers to battle, and hundreds of NPCs you can talk with! You can have trainers levels be based on the games, or boss levels if you prefer!
This map also includes over 16.5 thousand command blocks, making for some pretty awesome features you won't find anywhere else.
On your journey, you can listen to route-specific music based off the original games. View where you are live on a Town Map. Catch different Pokemon based on the route and time of day. Log your Championships with statues in the Hall of Fame. Explore the mythical events of Celebi and Arceus. Find and use Mega Stones! Pick your perfect Safari Zone biomes. Hatch custom Pokemon eggs. Use custom-redstoned Hidden Moves, and much, much, more! I guess you'll just have to see it all for yourself.

Wow that looks really impressive from the trailer! I was just searching for something like this on Google and found this just after you posted it so that's lucky haha I guess I'll have to try it! Will it work if I play it in Singleplayer and open to LAN so I can play with my girlfriend? Also just wondering is it like Pokeballers Kanto server where the pokemon spawn in the same places as they do in the game? Crystal was my favorite version of all time and I'd love to relive that just wanna make sure I'm not gonna have my experience ruined by finding some 3rd gen pokemon or finding a certain pokemon earlier than I'm supposed to.

Thanks! The map was built for multiplayer, so playing with someone shouldn't be a problem for the redstone. There are spawners scattered around the grass on routes, so you should see the Pokemon that correlate to the game, though these aren't 100% done yet (Pixelmon broke that right before release).
As for 3rd Gen +, you might see a few of those, as the map goes off HeartGold and SoulSilver spawns. You can turn those off in the config file, though, if you really don't want to see them. As it stands, I can't prevent certain Pokemon from spawning from any gen solely in the map if the config of your mod isn't changed. It's kind of lame, but what can you do?
Crystal was also my favorite version, which was also the first Pokemon game I played. I started playing the map myself (non-creative), and it's been nice so far. If you have any suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them!

That sounds great! And yeah I understand that not all the second gen Pokemon are in Pixelmon yet so I guess whatever you can do is good enough, it's a shame Suicune hasn't been added yet!

Alright that sounds easy enough would you mind giving a simple guide on how to do that exactly? Maybe edit it into your first post in case other people want to know?

I played Red, Yellow and Gold first but Crystal was really something special and definitely the best, much better than Ruby and Sapphire in my opinion. I'll be sure to give you lots of suggestions after I play it for a little while!

If you go to your .minecraft folder (or wherever Pixelmon is installed), go into the config folder and look for the file "pixelmon.cfg", and open it up in Notepad.
Then scroll down near the end, and you should see the spawning settings. If you're looking for only gen 1 and 2 Pokemon, set it so it looks like this.
# Sets whether Generation 1 Pixelmon will be spawned or not (Pokedex 1-151)
B:Gen1=true
# Sets whether Generation 2 Pixelmon will be spawned or not (Pokedex 152-251)
B:Gen2=true
# Sets whether Generation 3 Pixelmon will be spawned or not (Pokedex 252-386)
B:Gen3=false
# Sets whether Generation 4 Pixelmon will be spawned or not (Pokedex 387-493)
B:Gen4=false
# Sets whether Generation 5 Pixelmon will be spawned or not (Pokedex 494-649)
B:Gen5=false
# Sets whether Generation 6 Pixelmon will be spawned or not (Pokedex 650-719)
B:Gen6=false
can you make the map more creative mode friendly? the nether portals wont work in creative mode... id much rather have buttons to warp to different interiors...
I don''t know if it is just me but one of the gyms that is bug type I believe won't allow me to attack after the first time I attack because I guess the pokemon look like they are being hurt every millisecond or so but aren't taking HP damage.I don't know what is wrong with the gym and that's all the bugs I found currently.

I tried putting them in the nether before, but the trainers glitched out a lot in the dimension. As for getting places, if you are just in creative, I'd recommend just doing

This map is good so far I'm up to the first Gym but haven't come across any trainers yet when I think I should have by now where are they all? All I found so far is one Gym leader.
I have and idea to make it where random pokemon can't spawn! If you build this map on. A server which I think you do you can install a plugin to change biomes change the whole map to a sky biome! Sky biome is technically the end which no pokemon can spawn in, but I think pixelmon spawners still work. I also want to say that I think some of your pixelmon spawners are broke I rarely find wild pokemon. And there's no trainers anywhere accept for in gyms. Hope I helped!

That does help.
I've thought about making the entire map a Sky biome, but then the sky would become pitch black. Head to spawn, that's in a Sky biome. Or if I use the hell biome (nether), then the grass just looks like dead summer grass. I think it'd be better to have the misc. Pokemon spawn in a green land than only the right ones in a dead-grass land. I like the use of a Sky biome only when you can't really see the sky. It is too unnatural to use everywhere, I feel.
As for the spawners on the rest of the map, yea. I still need to place the rest, I just haven't had much time recently. Moving out to a new town across my state has taken most of my time, haha.
And finally, trainers I just left up to Pixelmon to spawn randomly. You can change their frequency in the config, so if you aren't seeing any at all, check in Pixelmon.cfg. I also think it makes more sense (from a logical standpoint) for random trainers to spawn and be different leveled than where you are in the game. NPCs should roam, I feel, at least in a more sandbox-y environment. I may do these recreations from the game later down the road, but there are higher priorities at the moment.
Hi I'm kinda new on minecraft and I download the map then I open it with winrat and there are more than 6 folders where each one go it is kinda hard to me cuz I'm new and I'd to mucg of english

When I was putting in the command blocks, I used a period instead of a comma, and the command didn't work. That's fixed in version 1.1 of the map, which will be out as soon as a fix an error with Pokemon spawners spawning wrong Pokemon.
You would download the zip file, unzip the file, and place that in your saves folder. All of those folders are part of a single save file.

That'd be a Pixelmon issue. All I can really recommend is rebooting your client and the server if you are running one.
