Hey guys, just wanted to let you know how it's progressing. Here's the current changelog:
- Bug fixes relating to importing and naming skins
- Controllable 2D zoom and translate
- Import multiple skins, simplified importing
- Removed Commit button
- Added Save, Save As and Save All buttons
- Fixed a password and enumeration serialization issue
- Added a right-click context menu for the Skins list
- Added HSL+A as one of the alternatives to RGB.
-- There seems to be some extraneous operations going on there that cause it to be slow, too much floating point math?
- Made color slider thumbs smaller
- Support for high resolution textures (up to 256x128)
hmm... a shame it is not supported on macs, seeing as quite a large part of the community are mac users. gonna try it with crossover, and see if it works.
well, using java has an advantage, doesn't it? ^^
I know, I'm really sorry... it SHOULD work on Bootcamp, since all it requires is .NET Framework 4.0. Java is indeed fully crossplatform, the issue I have with Java is there's no way I would of been able to get this awesome functionality of mine in a week as I have with this program being done in .NET.
I could downgrade it to .NET 3.0 if that's the outcome - I really don't have any large dependencies on 4.0, it's just a nice thing to have for the new language features.
Java is a nice language, there's no denying that - it has some issues, but so does C#. My issue is with its UI system - it's horrible. I point you to any existing Java program (made by a third party that isn't using paid controls) as an example - all of my program uses either existing controls, controls I wrote myself in a very short amount of time, or DevExpress' free control library.
Hell yeah, only skins I play as :tongue.gif:
Part system: It's not planned as I haven't gotten any requests yet. If enough people want it, I'll include it.
but your signature is from the german minecraft forum!
I know, I saw it and I liked it :biggrin.gif:
I got an error report when opening the .exe
ved System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
ved System.IO.FileSystemEnumerableIterator`1..ctor(String path, String originalUserPath, String searchPattern, SearchOption searchOption, SearchResultHandler`1 resultHandler)
ved System.IO.Directory.EnumerateFiles(String path, String searchPattern)
ved MCSkin3D.SwatchContainer.AddDirectory(String dir)
Interesting - can you save the report and attach it, or PM it to me?
Check to see if you extracted it properly, it may say that if the "Swatches" directory is missing.
This looks like it could have potential! im gonna download and check it out, i love the way it keeps gettin updated and changed makes it more interesting:D i will be using c++ too soon! hope its fun:D
The program is written in C#, but, it's damn close to C++! C++ is actually my main language. If you find programming fun, C++ is definitely THE programming language you want to learn! MCSkin3D is also open source, for those who wish to peek and help develop it (http://code.google.com/p/mcskin3d/). Good luck in your programming, buddy!
