I don't feel like making new forum images and whatnot just yet, so I'll add these into the OP later; but in the meantime, I've made HD versions of the classic Mojang cape!
I'll leave all things Eldar to those who don't love stompin' 'em so much.
An Ork (notice the 'K'), however, is the one skin I REALLY want to do!
I've alreayd made Ork skins for Unreal Tournament 2003/4 and Unreal Tournament 3. They're probably my favorite thing to skin. (click 'em for good screenshots)
I'm just having problems coming up with good concepts for them in Minecraft.
Frankly, an Ork shouldn't stand upright and have a square head.
Everything I've come up with has basically looked like a ***** Warcraft orc with random bits of metal stapled to their "I used to be cool until some talking buffalo turned us into hippies" faces.
I'm thinking maybe using the entire outer head layer for the face and jaw, and only cutting out the sunken cheeks and eyes MIGHT give the impression of that "skull-with-huge-jaw" Orky face we all know and love, but the standing upright still looks dorky.
If I DO come up with anything slightly good though, I'll post the drawing first!
Hello! I am from Russia and I can see that the creation of hd skins you have on a very high level)
Great job!
And if you have free time, can you make the skin of Darth Vader (Star Wars)? :wink.gif:
I would really appreciate you!
P.S. Sorry for the poor knowledge of your language
Vader is definitely on the list of skins I might do! If I end up making Boba Fett, I'll do a Vader too!
In the meantime though, here are a couple concepts for upcoming skins:
Skyrim dudes:
Modern Iron Man:
I'm pretty excited about the Iron Man, so he'll probably be next!
The back will have openings with little thrusters, and the cape will be two flaps that cover the openings. (Sort of like his flying apparati from the Iron Man movies)
Hopefully!
The linework's looking pretty good so far though:
There's still a lot to do on him. And I'm trying to figure out exactly what I want to do with the second head layer.
I think either:
-Make the entire head use the outer layer, and cut out the eyes and cheeks to make them sunken in.
-Only put the yellow face shield and parts of the mandible on the outer head layer.
War Machine can be done.
I'll basically just make the Iron Man gray, and and add a few details. I just spent about 18 hours in a row working on Iron Man, and I'm really not about to make another full set of armor; but I think it should work. Good idea, by the way.
Joker's a great idea, but it's one of the ones I've tried doodeling a hundred times, and it's just not that easy to make Joker's pointy, rounded face look good on a block.

Iron man's almost done!
Just a few more tweaks and a cape to make, and he'll be all set. The download should be up tomorrow!
As for what's next; I may take a break from the HD skins to work more on my texture pack (specifically the mobs), but I think I have a good idea of which HD skin will be next...
Tarman, from Return of the Living Dead!
(It's a movie. Go watch it now.)
1-Download the mod and put its contents into your Minecraft.jar (Delete the META-INF folder if its still there.) 2-Go to www.HDMinecraftSkins.com and sign up using your ingame Minecraft name (Capitalization must be the same) 3-Once logged into the website, do one of the following: ----Click "Skin Manager", then "Upload New File", to upload a new cape. ----Click "Database" to search for existing capes. 4-Then, from "Skin Manager", click the 'Wear" button next to the skin/cape you wish to wear.

thank you oh and for some reason the cape wont work but skins do
For anyone interested, I've updated the OP with not only simple instructions on using HD skins, but also a link to HD Skin templates I've made, so you can make your own HD skins!
I have no idea why the outer head layer wouldn't show up, like in that screenshot.
the only thing I can thin of it to try downloading and reinstalling the HD Player Mod. it may be that you have an older version, or somesuch.

(Sorry Kahn! The image hosting is temporary!)
I would love that, as long as the skin resembled a Warhammer 40K Ork. I would literally kill for a HD Ork or Dark Eldar skin.
*Drools at the thought*
