I've noticed some weird bugs with this. For one, I have an outer-layer skin that is mostly covered. Except where the hair would be and the eyes. Yet, in-game. The skin shows eyes on the outer-layer.
It's weird and I don't have the slightests as to why it's happening.
I'm not sure how you pulled it off, but look very closely at the eyes, there's actually color there. I was only able to see it by using the dropper on the space where the eye holes are. Then when I set a black background layer, it shows up very faintly. It seems that somehow, those spots were set to about 1% translucency or something odd like that.
Well, it's not like I can stop anyone from using my skins. Just as long as you don't claim my stuff as your own, I don't really care. I'm just glad to be helping people figure this stuff out.
Crowns, man. That and headcages. And maybe faux-hawks (short ones, but ones nonetheless)...
Eventually I hope Notch'll just give us a whole second texture base and derive in-game avatars from two separate files.
I.E. One file for the skin and a default-blank duplicate of the same size for whole-body overlays.
This makes me that much more angry that I can't use Paypal.
EDIT: Whoops, I didn't see the mohawk post. Nice, Xesum.
Read above. If there is no transparency, it won't show.
He means if you make a skin with the elevated texture, you can't apply a name to the skin because there is no space.
Well, in that case, yea. You've got that little space to the side of the arms, but that's it. I do wonder if we're ever going to get extras for the whole body (which I imagine would come with survival anyway). Maybe that would allow more space.
cant you just binary merge a txt into the skin with your name? lmao.

And, do they show up in the preferences?

As for transparency, MS Paint can't do that. You can try Paint.net, or Gimp, both of which are free.

works <3
I hope you won't be mad, PuyoDead, but I stole your companion cube idea because it is THE best.
Behold, the eyes that stalk you.

The rest of the skin doesn't support transparency, it turns white.

Notice something different?
