Hello everyone,
this is the start of something very special for me. A few years ago I fell in love with Misa's Texture Pack. The details, colors, mobs and everything else was just perfect. But sadly the pack isn't updated anymore. That's why I started trying things out myself. This is what I came up with so far:
(Media not available anymore since the hosting site is dead)
As you can see I chose a fairly high resolution (128x128) so I can get as much detail as possible without the need of a monster computer. My aim is to create realistic textures while still maintaining a playable game that is easy on the eyes.
Alright the history lesson is over now. Welcome to the reboot of my texturepack!
I could recover a few textures I've made back then, but I don't wanna keep them. Have a look for yourself:
Yeah I know, not my proudest work. Anyways I gained a lot more experience over the years and I have more free time than before so I picked up texturing again.
While on a walk trough my neighbourhood I took some pictures of materials I liked, and after a few hours I came up with a grass texture that I liked (Cat for scale):
The grass texture has a CTM of eight by eight blocks, which is fairly big and hides some of the grid pattern in normal terrain.
The next thing I want to do is the dirt texture so I can start on the side grass texture.
I have a discord server where I post updates more frequently than in this forum. I go more into detail on explaining stuff here. The main language on the server is german though, but there is an english channel to. You can join via this link: https://discord.gg/7BnevQ7 Hope to see you there
