Decided to make a new thread because it seems way easier to keep it clean this way. I am going to work on a signature banner and graphics to make the thread look perty, don't worry. Old messy thread with more pictures and stuff
The Goal
With this resource pack I plan to transform Minecraft's aesthetic into a very clean, cartoony, simple, yet at the same time very detailed look. While designing the pack, I try to think about if Minecraft was made today, how would professionals design the textures? I do not want to strive too far away from the vanilla look, but that being said, I will take liberty with the design and change things where I deem it necessary. In the finished product, there are plans for lots of connected textures, texture variants, and the likes. I design all the textures in Illustrator, so I can and will be releasing more resolutions. Obviously, this pack is very much a work in progress. Everything is subject to change. The project was only started a mere two weeks ago. I am very open to criticism and would actually quite appreciate it. I also appreciate anyone willing to take the time and download the pack to try it out even though it is not yet in a usable state.

Wanted to show some progress. No new download but a bunch of pictures. I'll display what I've done but there are some things here subject to change.
1. New texture for the side grass. This is the 3rd revision and I think I finally hit the nail on the head. This texture is now way more thematic and I think looks great.
2. New cobblestone texture. Once again I tried to make it more thematic. Still messing with colors but overall I think it's a lot better.
3. Did the breaking animation. Based it off of the default one. Might make it slightly more transparent as it shows up a little dark.
4. The workbench was just a concept. I don't like how it looks in game, I'm going to work on it.
5. Gravel texture. Not much else to say.
6. Tried a concept for glass, not really feeling it though. I'm trying to figure out how to use semi-transparency on normal glass, when I try right now it shows as solid in game.
7. Made a couple banners, they're in my sig. Will keep making more until a gather a few that I like.
8. Pack icon. Made a quick one because it was bugging me. Will probably make a good one in the future.
9. And I'm calling the pack Jagg now. It's catchier. Trust me it is.
That's all I think, here are the screenshots you probably skipped to: See full breaking animation and more at Imgur
Wow, I really like this. I like the depth the ores have, the dirt and gravel as well. You've done a really great job of making the textures feel like they have a third dimension. You're doing a great job so far, keep it up!

Why, thank you! A few of the textures have changed, like the gravel, but maybe you've seen them if you came from the texture artists union thread though

Looks good!
Please turn off shaders for future example screenshots.
Thanks!
I already plan to do so.

I should really update this thread with new pics.
Thanks again though man, keeps me motivated
This resource pack is awesome! Keep up the good work and I can't wait for it to be finished!
Awesome work dude, I am really impressed, let's continue like this.
My thoughts exactly. It seems like life got in the way of the resource pack, because the creator hasn't active been on the forum since June.
Which is a pity, because I love the aesthetics of the pack.
