I recently started working on a texture pack for a Minecraft town that is probably going to progress into a city. But I changed the texture of the Podzol and Red Sandstone to make them look like tables and they don't have transparency. I don't know if it's just because the blocks don't support transparency but can someone please help. P.S. I need help with connected Textures, any video link to refer to.
So are you making custom models or are you just retexturing the block? If you are just retexturing the block you might run into problems finding a transparent block with a seperate texture for the top. You might want to consider making a table model and replacing carpet or stained glass. There just isn't a way to make a solid block like podzol transparent.

It's exactly this. If you need transparency, use blocks that are transparent.
I hope that helps you.

I could help you make a model if you send me the textures you are using.
Try reinstalling optifine or whatever you're using for connected textures.
