Hello everybody! Today I have a new resource pack for you!
Information/Backstory:
How did it get its name?
Look at my username.
What was the inspiration?
I was looking online at some resource packs. I saw a lot of packs that were peoples first packs that they ever made, and I thought, "You know, maybe I should make a resource pack of my own." I had seen a lot of very simple resource packs and thought that I could probably make a pretty decent pack. Then the development started!
So is this your first resource pack?
Yes and no. If you want to know if this is my first time designing textures or even making an actual resource pack, the answer would be absolutely not. I have designed many textures before and have made many personal resource packs before. I am actually very familiar with image editing software, although I am still learning and am certainly not a professional. On the other hand though, this is the first pack I am actually releasing to the public.
What software do you use?
I use Paint.net, a free editing software. It is certainly not the best out there, but it suits me pretty well. (and it's free!) I am trying to learn GIMP as well.
What are you aiming for this pack to be?
I am aiming for a sort of simplistic pack, with a bit of a medieval theme, and a touch of realism/default feel.
All that said, I just want to say to keep in mind that this is VERY early development and does not have much content yet. Things may change.
In case you did not want to read the spoiler, keep in mind, this is VERY early development and does not have much content yet. Things may change.
Aside from that, I am very exited about this pack, and will probably update it every other day to every day.
Changelog:
Version BETA 0.1 (Released February 18, 2015)
-Initial release.
Now to the part you have all been waiting for. The download!
The first time I saw the word, simple, I was hoping it wasn't another bucket-fill ('Bucket-fill' and 'Simplistic' get easily confused). So far, it looks pretty good! However, I don't exactly agree with those ores. Mainly the Diamond, Iron, gold, and Coal that really bother me. I feel like you should give each ore it's own shapes, something like the Lapis, Redstone and emerald to provide more variety within the pack. I should also suggest that you make your ores look embedded into your stone rather than placed on top of it, like a sticker.
I also think the stone as a few dark lines that I think should be a bit lighter. Keep it up, I would like to see more!

Thank you for the positive feedback! I am glad to hear that you are interested and I will most certainly keep going. I wasn't sure I really liked the ores or the stone either. I tried by best to make the ores look like they were inside of the stone, but maybe I didn't do that great of a job. But again, thank you so much for your feedback and I will be sure to continue to improve this pack.
Hey there! sorry for the lack of updates lately, but I have a life and many other things that I want/need to do. One of the main things is school. I'm not going to get to much into it, but I do homeschool and am allowed to play minecraft and stuff while doing school, but I often get distracted by other things in minecraft and don't get time to update the pack. I certainly will continue, just maybe not as often as I had hoped.

CHANGE: Removed some dark lines from the stone.
CHANGE: Gave the Iron Ore, Coal Ore, Gold Ore, Diamond Ore more unique shapes.
CHANGE: Changed the color of the diamond ore to look more unique from the vanilla diamond.
CHANGE: Made all the ores look more embedded into the stone.

EDIT: Currently none of this is displayed on the actual post, sorry about that, but editing spoilers seems to be buggy.
