in this WIP recource pack, i went on novaskin to create a recource pack. there are few things in it, and i spent like less than an hour on it so far. it's random, silly, weird, whatever. \
Please don't post default edits on the forum. You didn't actually make those textures, you just took what someone else made and changed them a little bit. That's really not very nice to do without the original artist's permission.
The creeper looks mostly original, though, so good job on that. Keep that and toss the rest and you'll be on your way to a better pack.
thanks for the tip, like i said, i barely spent any time on the pack, so not much changed. i guess i'll take away the link until i change it a bit more. again, thanks for the feedback!

Much appreciated.
I strongly suggest starting from a blank canvas rather than just editing the default textures. I also recommend learning to make resource packs without the use of a dedicated tool like Novaskin. It'll be easier to learn to do things the right way so that when you want to expand your pack you can do so without having to re-learn everything. Check out the All-Inclusive Guide to Texturing for a good jumping-off point.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with once you're really doing your own work instead of editing someone else's.
EDIT: i've added screenshots in the attachments
