I tried to update this pack with a few snippits from other packs added in as well. It works pretty well on 1.12.2 and its posted over on the sphax forum.
Hey, I'm having some issues with installing, could you help? I've tried putting the fossil folder into my mods folder as well as my resource packs folder but neither seem to work.
you need to put the fossil file inside the fossils and archeology zip under textures, then you will see fossil, just drag and drop it into that area (use winrar)
Yea I have no idea, looks like the original creator of these textures just left and is absolutely no help. I see Poet Plays had it back in episode 239 so I’m trying to download it.
So nevermind what I said, here’s what ya gotta do:
1. Have WinRar or install it
2. Download the texture pack file and extract it (it’ll say “extract here)
3. Open the Tpack file to where it shows the 3 items which one will say “fossil” folder. Click through and you’ll see each individual texture that the original creator made
4. Use WinRar to open the fossils & archeology folder and tab through to assets>fossil>textures, which you’ll then see all the textures for the items, blocks & mobs
5. Then the most tedious thing, go ONE BY ONE and replace each texture you so choose (MAKE SURE THE WORDING IS IDENTICAL or the game won’t recognize it)

I cant find the 'mods' file in faithful texture packs, is there another way to install it?

I have done all the steps:i grabbed 1.12.2 faithful from the desired link and the zip file put them together and all that comes is the faithful?

Nevermind I figured it out!
