Hey all, I'm working on a Middle Earth themed TP. It still requires a lot of work, but I figured I would share it here so that you all can get a preview and give some suggestions. Thanks! These screenshots don't show everything that's been changed, just a preview.NOTE: You need to download MCpatcher and patch minecraft in order to see the tree textures correctly!
Trees.Birch - Lothlorien Acai - White Tree of Gondor Big Oak - MirkwoodSome Armor
Diamond is Mithril based. Elven Bows and Arrows. Stone Sword - Orc Sword. Iron Armor is Gondorian Armor. Gold is Rohimain Armor. Some of the mobs.Heavy blizzards and torential rainfalls.
Mordor
V1.2 Update: Some item block and mob changes. New Cobblestone, wood planks, and stone textures.
Umm, I think the blocks don't really have anything to do with LotR, outcluding the wood of course. Also, the shading on the cobblestone and the planks is absolutely terrible. Try to fix that.
I fixed the cobblestone today. Most of the theme can be seen in the armor/weapons/tools/mobs. I've also managed to change the grass color for different areas. The floor in a Birch forest is now yellow to match the leaves and the theme of Lothlorien. I'm having problems getting ideas on how to make certain textures more Middle Earthy. lol

and the big oak trees could use some work.
Noted. Thanks! I've been meaning to change the grass/dirt, but wasn't worried about it as I am more focused on changing default textures atm.
