So I thought I might start another texture pack. This time, I'm going to actually try to make some progress. It will be true to vanilla textures, that is, cauldrons will be cauldrons, wood will be wood, not metal or something stupid. I intend this to be a slightly more detailed version of vanilla that would look good with regular textures, so that mod textures should blend in with minimal difference. With that said, here's a couple basic textures, the first of bedrock (That texture bugs me the most) and the second of oak wood planks.
I shall upload more tomorrow, for I am tired. I think the bedrock needs another redo.
Sunday, Febuary 9th, 2014:
I made four more textures. I redid the gold and diamond blocks, because diamond is not cyan it's white, and the gold because it was way too yellow. I also made the books a bit duller and more of them brown, and removed the 3-pixel thick one. I also did the bricks, by adding another pixel to their sizes and getting rid of the mortar in the middle which is not included in the recipe.
I'm going to add more contrast to the brick's edges, and then I'm going to make the cobblestone nicer.
The cobble definitely needs the most work, it looks a little too busy and chaotic.
I kind of wish there was a quick way to upload images. I made the cobblestone look more like smooth pebbles, and I like it for roads now. Hang on, I'll get a resized image of it.
Here we go.
The bright red book in the bookshelf really stands out in my library. I'll fix that, and then build a city based off of this clay thing I just made.
I fixed the bright red book in the bookshelf, and it looks a lot better. Too minor a change to post here, but I also did the crafting table to fit the wood.
I'm still working on that city, btw. I'll provide a screenshot of that.

What exactly is going on with your hand in this picture?

I'm a pixel artist who makes pixel things and maps! I also do line art occasionally.
I have two work in progress resource packs!
This is the second one!
And of course, by "work-in-progress" I mean "will never, ever be completed".

What a drastic improvement! Keep it up.
