Herro there, Minecraft Forums!
For the past week-ish, I have been working on this texture pack. I have been referring to it as "SlaimKraphed" because I have been creating it for use on a server that I frequent which is called "SlimeCraft."
S-see what I did there?
Moving on.
It's still largely unfinished but I think I have reached a point where I can take it to the community and say, "HEY! HEY! LOOK IT!" That being said, I would really appreciate an actual opinion on what I have so far. The friends that I have shown have all said the typical, "Looks great " reply. With the exception of one. His opinions have actually been helpful. SHOUT OUT!
The owner of the server likes default, but the community of the server tends to be odd - in the strangest of ways. So I was going for something cartoony that tried to remain loyal to the default. I have also edited the language, splash and end text files in order to fit this server. If this pack ever reaches a stage where I feel I can release it, I will make a version without these changes so that people who do not play on the server do not need to use all of our inside jokes
I like it. I like your curvy design. I don't know if it tiles well. But looks good so far!
Thank you! I thought the curves added to the cartoon feel, which (as I already stated) is exactly what I was going for.
As for how they tile, I could easily take more screenshots to illustrate just how well they do or do not tile. Or you could take me for my word when I say that I have not encountered any terribly noticeable tiling errors. I do think that the sandstone and glowstone could be improved. It's not that they tile weird, it's that the top doesn't really fade well into the side. The top of sandstone is really smooth, and the side is cracked. Doesn't really fit, so I don't know how I feel about it. The glowstone just looks weird in general, because the top is cut off at the side. I worked for quite some time to try and understand why the top behaved the way it did. Turns out the problem is not with my texture, but with the way Minecraft wraps blocks. The same issue is present in the default pack. I never noticed it until I tried to texture it myself.
I plan to have some of the planks and the brick textures done at some point today. If not just some planks.

In order to illustrate my point about the sandstone and the glowstone, I took some screenshots. See the spoiler below.
In my resource pack, the top of the sandstone doesn't fade especially well into the side. It's a bit odd looking, but the more I use it the more I like it. Could use some feedback on that. The glowstone tiles well, but because of Minecraft, the top of it doesn't match well with the sides causing it to look like weird:
In default, the glowstone issue is still present, it's merely harder to spot:
I also did the Spruce Planks and Brick textures. Not sure how I feel about the planks, they may be a bit too rounded. Even for the theme of the pack.
A lot of pillow shading though. Some blocks have too much AA and others have none at all. If you want to fix the glowstone "issue" then you have to make all 4 sides tile against each other, that is, make a seamless pattern that can tile against any wall in any configuration. It's rather simple really, just start out by drawing the border of your texture and make sure that the pattern starts at the same pixel on each side. On another note, your glowstone looks a bit boring, most likely due to the reused parts.
Your chiseled quarts looks like it's a 128x texture, that's a nice optical illusion you managed with the fading lines. Don't know if it fits the rest of the pack though. Remove the dot in the middle.

I assume that you're referring specifically to the anvils and the Soul Sand. If that's the case, I didn't like any of those textures either and have every intention of re-doing them. If not just editing them.

The glowstone already does tile very well. My problem is that the top does not match up with the sides. This is an issue that can be seen in default as well, as I illustrated in an earlier post.

I had to check to be sure, lol. It's definitely 32x. I did make two textures for the chiseled quartz because I wasn't sure if I liked either of them. The dot in the middle was never a permanent feature, just put it there to help me while designing it.
These are the two quartz textures that I came up with, which is better?
Looks decent, but I think there's a little too much blur in some blocks. Maybe try make them a little less blurry?
I'm assuming that you also are specifically referring to the anvils and the Soul Sand. In which case, I refer you to my reply to filmjolk.
For now, here are some new textures. I don't think that the hardened clay will look like that in the end. I'm probably going to make it look more like a stone later.
Lastly, thanks for all of the feedback, guys! I wub you all

I very much like the way pillow shading looks in Minecraft, though. Especially, if not exclusively, with cartoon themed texture packs.

I'm not fond of it either. Never really was. I might just scrap the entire glowstone texture and start over.
