Lower-res textures always throw me off, same with larger ones. When you've played with 16x16 all your life and suddenly play a 4x4 everything seems waaay too small.

EDIT: fixed the problems with some of the textures. Mojang's app didn't convert it properly so I did it manually. Everything should work as expected now, just make sure to re download beta 1.2
