I have no idea how to properly post this here, doing so because I was asked to on Reddit.
I am very open to criticism when it's constructive. I won't be butt-hurt by negative stuff, but it's really just a waste of your time and mine.
This is mainly to display the concept of the textures and gauge interest.
Many textures are not in their final state. (ie. the ladders suck. I can't decide whether levers should be like the torches or vice versa. Iron door needs work. The whole quartz family is giving me pause.) Some blocks have gone through dozens of iterations to get to where I'm comfortable with them.
Some things that seem to be "off" or seem like errors may be done purposely. For example: the smooth stone, grass overlay, sandstone tops and dirt textures are all "muted"/less pronounced/have less "pop" too make them easier on the eyes(to reduce moire effects and reduce graininess at distance) Some bleeding in the "grout" areas has been retained because I like it, esp. the zombie eyes.

I like the ores, but one thing I don't like is the fact that it seems like every block is made up of loads of tiny squares, which for things like cobble, dirt and grass, will make the world extremely gritty and painful on the eyes...
It does make the world grittier, but not extremely so. This is something I've been working on balancing. I've been looking at my survival world and tweaking form there. The grittiness is much more evident in a superflat than in actual dynamic terrain, so I'm trying to see how much I can get away with.

How about Grittle, Gritty World, Gritmine or just plain Gritty.
Yeah, grittiness is good, but too much is ugly.
