checking in on a college computer--i'll be out in about 5-and-a-half hours to get to working on it again
My current item ideas are:
swords - slim sword (wooden), steel blade (stone), silver sword/brave sword (iron), durandal (diamond), light brand (gold)
shovels - no idea (spears perhaps?)
hoes - no idea
pickaxes - no idea (staves?)
axes - hatchet (wooden), battle axe (stone), silver axe/brave axe (iron), armads (diamond), hamer (gold)
misc. items:
flint/steel - fire tome
iron ignot - white gem
gold ignot - gold gem
coal - black gem
feather - speedwing
paper - metis' tome
book - secretbook
bow - brave bow/longbow
redstone dust - red gem
lapis lazuli - blue gem
diamond - dragonstone?
torch - torch
water bucket - pure water (empty, lava, and milk buckets will likely be reskinned versions of this)
any thoughts?

Don't mind me, I just pop up from time to time with helpful/annoying advice.
Checkin in from school also. Brilliant ideas. I'd say switch spears and staves. Mainly because I always have pickaxes but never shovels. As for hoes maybe knives? (Stiletto, kard, iron, steel etc.) Eh. But it looks good. Can't wait for it to be finished.

i'm trying to keep to the handheld FE games, but i'll think about switching spears and staves.

That's what I thought but figured I may as well have tossed it out there.
I like how you changed the workbench, and I like the new weps and items so far. However, I am not a fan of the fire texture on the torch.
yeah the torch is a little iffy right now, it's based off the FE item for it, but it's probably gonna get changed once i have some time to actually get on minecraft and check everything out.
also, as said earlier--screenshots are muy muy macho

that does look pretty bad. i'll look around in the jar and see if i can move the fire animation up to fit the new torch frame for the moment. actually i can't seem to find anything that would edit that outside of modding (though i might just be blind and missed it), so i'll probably just tweak teh torch to fit the animation height.

FIRE EMBLEM
**** YEA
One of my favorite games ever. (number seven not number 8 it was ****).
>opinions
I happened to enjoy 8 very much. the monsters were interesting as well--though they also appeared in earlier(japanese) games if memory serves...
but whatever, what do you think of the pack?
I like the pack. the swords and axes were the best and made me nostalgia hard.
8 was bad because it ruined to difficulty, ruined the weapon triangle (with the monsters), and bogged down the class system with unnecessary classes.
but yea opinions, the pack looks very nice.
i loved the branching classes (even though a number of them were useless compared to their counterpats--i'm looking at you mage knight--and the weapon triangle got GENERAL'd), but the towers threw any semblance of balance out the window--i mean COME ON, an infinite training ground from chapter seven until the end of the game!? those monsters never stood a chance.

updated OP--cakes have been turned into a kinda/sorta/in-the-right-light-under-a-red-moon vulnerary. the item in the items.png was altered accordingly as well.
EDIT: the 'vulnerary-cakes' are going to need a bit more tweaking--i sorta derped myself in a circle for that one.

Yeah I noticed. The torches look great. the vulnerary wasn't quite what i think you were going for. But I got a kick out of it.

Small problem. Not a vulnerary. Nor even a vulnerary icon, which confused me.
haven't quite gotten to that yet--still fiddling with other stuff (torches, colors, etc.). I'll be doing that next.
also, i've messed with the torch a little and removed a few erran pixels from the items.png, updating the OP now.
