Hey Thief and Minecraft fans,
when I first played Minecraft, I was immediately reminded of Thief. That's why I've made a texture pack for Minecraft with Thief as theme. It's still Beta, but most things are already implemented. I mostly used original textures and objects, right off the games (Dark Project and The Metal Age). Often I could even use the same resolution so it does look very similar as in the game.
You can play as a Hammerite and build cathedrals, be a Pagan and live in the woods, or you can be like Garrett and chase Zombies with your bow and sword. :biggrin.gif: (There are also nice book-racks for you Keepers out there!) :wink.gif:
I hope you enjoy it. Oh, and watch out for future updates!
I have a problem.
The problem is I go to the link to download it (PlanetMinecraft or what ever it is)and I click download it but it won't download!,

Yes, this happened to me, too. I think that's because planetminecraft sometimes suffers from too much traffic. I also get gateway errors regularly. I'd suggest you wait a little and try it again later. You can also use right click and choose "Save target as" so you can set the destination of teh download (it seemed to save the file in some temporary folder when I tested it before).
However, I'd prefer not to upload it somewhere else, so I only have to update this one mirror. I hope you understand.
Man, that's awesome :biggrin.gif: If you could get those incredibly creepy sounds of zombie, or skeleton as haunt!! it would be great!!
Thanks dude! Originally, I did not plan to make the mobs as well. But there were some mob ideas suggested which were pretty good. It would make the most sense if zombies stayed the same, since they're also present in Thief (however, with different appearance of course). The zombie pigmen could be hammer haunts because they carry a sword. A Mechanist robot is probably the best fit for the creeper. Spiders could either stay basically the same with new texture or changed into a robot as well. Well, and skeletons could also stay themselves. I would change them into bow guards, but that probably looked weird with that 3D model.

Your armours remind me of mount and blade, pack looks nice though.... lets hope nothing happenssssss to it
Haha, yeah. The armour is not yet in the game in this form, but I want to so so since the standard one looks pretty lame. It's actually the armour of a guard I edited.
Yeah textures of them would be great :biggrin.gif: But get the sounds also! They're crucial! They'll make mobs much more scary :biggrin.gif:
Hmm, yeah I know what you mean but I'm not sure if I can make it. I only changed the visuals until now which is very easy in that game. I'd need to look if I can do it at all.

Seems everytime I place a block my minecraft crashes.. Not sure if its the texture packs problem..
I had this problem, too. Are you using the newest version of the HD patcher? I used mcpatcher-1.1.12_02 when I started this and it always worked, but with the last update, it crashed when I wanted to use the furnace or place a block. I switched to version 2.0.0 and it's working now. You should try to find the newest version if you haven't done it yet.

For a sexy looking texture pack :biggrin.gif:
Thanks! As I said, it is taken from the game as it was. I didn't even have to change the resolution. :wink.gif:
