I have made a texture pack in which is supposed to change a few blocks but it just nulls them out. You can see the ladder shape but not the texture and for the other block, you can't see the textures or the modules. pls help, pls
If its displaying the missing texture, the black-and-purple checkered block, then it likely means that it can't find the texture you're looking for. What exactly does it look like?
I made the ladder and bookshelf with opl's model creator.
There's your problem right there. Opl's is horribly outdated and so the output isn't likely to function in more modern versions of the game. I suggest using BlockBench instead as it IS up to date.
As for the logs, where did you add that little bit? Post your actual files so we can see. Because where you put something and if you got the .json syntax correct is more important to Minecraft than anything. Always use http://jsonlint.com to check for problems with your coding.

Ok, thx. I will see if that works. But I still need help with the logs cuz I didn't model them and it was still null. on top of that, the ladder texture was made with opl's and it works fine. It just cant find the textures
Also, How would I have it so json know where the textures are? Can you give me an example? What I have for planks is: blocks/planks_oak
What version of Minecraft are you using?
Please post your model files so that we can see what you have done! This is very important because right now all I can do is make guesses as to where you might have messed up. I have no solid information to go on.
This is what I did for all the logs. Just change the wood type for each one. The version is 1.16.4
On top of that. I opened the log files and it said: This file is a child of minecraft:block/cube_column and does not contain a model. It did find the textures but still got that error
Would you kindly put your session log (.minecraft/logs/latest.log) on https://pastebin.com or a similar site and provide a link here? It'll be much easier to figure out what's happening if we can see what Minecraft is 'thinking'.
OK, look, not to be down on you but you really need to read what you're being told carefully. Posting a huge wall of text in a single post is obnoxious and is really likely to get people to stop wanting to help you. This is why I recommended posting it to https://pastebin.com and providing a link here.
Anyway, it looks like it's something wrong with your blockstate file so maybe double-check those and run them through https://jsonlint.com. Without seeing those files, I can't give you better advice.

at the end of the month, the links will not work
I made the ladder and bookshelf with opl's model creator. For the logs, I just added "ambientocclusion": true, to the raw code

I hope that helps you.
In between the parent and textures items
I just tried that website, put it the code and it said it was valid

I fixed it. thx for your help
As it turns out, I didn't. BlockBanch can find the wood textures, but minecraft cant. What do I do?
I can find and read the model but not gt the textures. Only my mod: Just Enough Items can find them both

Best wishes on getting it working.
I didn't edit blockstate files. And thx for the tip but I will check
I just checked and there was an error so I fixed it for all the files but the blockes where still null
In the ladder code, I found out you were referring to the textures in textures/blocks/.
