i am making a texture pack that has slime that fades throughout the entire rainbow plus a few colors
the issue is that when i try to do it with the slime mob it comes up the slime in game looking like a squished version of the texture
Could you post your .properties file please?
Additionally, what versions of Minecraft and Optifine are you using? What are the exact file paths of the texture and properties files relative to /assets/ ?
Please help us to help you.
(And if you're trying to do this using the vanilla animations system... don't. It won't work. Only blocks, items, and I think paintings and particles can use the vanilla system. Mobs cannot. Sorry.)

i am using 1.16.4-optifine_HD_U_G5
and it wont work with the vanilla animations system so is there any way to get it to work with a different system because i really want to get this
path to file of textures
Rainbow_slime_texture_pack->assets->minecraft->textures->entity-> slime-> the texture and the notepad with the animation code
The reason that I asked for your Optifine version and your .properties file is because you can use Optifine do this.
I suggest checking the Optifine docs for more information. If you need help, feel free to post a detailed account of what you've tried.
I hope that helps you.
