I have a resource pack in the resource pack folder on my Mac and it won't show up on Minecraft as an option please help me!
Is this your own pack, or one that you downloaded? If it's one you downloaded, talk to the author of it. They might also have specific install instructions in their thread/post/site/whatever that need to be followed. Reminder: A properly authored pack NEVER needs to be unzipped. Consider any directions to do so as suspicious and move on to a different pack.
If it's YOUR pack, then you'll need to provide more details. Are you running it from a folder, or from a .zip file? What are the contents of your pack.mcmeta file? Have you double-checked to make sure that you don't have a hidden file extension? (Make sure that you file manager is set to show known file extensions. Search the internet if you don't know how to change that setting.) And so on and so forth.
Just saying something doesn't work isn't helpful since there's LOTS of reasons why something can fail to work. To understand the problem, we need to know what exactly you've done.
Its a pack I created I followed a tutorial on YouTube and I am running it from a folder in the folder it shows pac.mcmeta, pac.png, and an assets folder, in the assets folder it shows 2 more folders a minecraft one and a realms one in the minecraft folder it shows a blockstates folder, a font folder, a lang folder, a models folder, a particles folder, a shaders folder, a texts folder, a textures folder, and a .json file named gpu_warnlist.json. I don't know if this information helps or not

It should be "pack.mcmeta" and "pack.png" for starters. Having exact file names matter since Minecraft is notoriously bad at guessing what you're thinking, and so expects you to be precise.
Also, make sure to delete everything that you did not personally create from the pack. There's no point in placeholders as they'll just cause problems. If you need a template, keep it in a separate folder. Youtube tutorials are notoriously bad about making sure people do this,
