Hi!
I'm having trouble with my resource pack from the version 1.8.9 (pack format 1). My horse textures are invisible and, every time I attack the horses, my screen turns red, but when I attack other mob it turns normal again. Hope y'all can help me, bye!

Your entire screen going red is definitely not a resource pack problem. That's not something that resource packs can or should be able to do. I'd suggest posting a thread in Java Edition Support about that.
As for the invisible horses, without seeing the textures themselves I've no way of knowing. You need to post some actual information before we can diagnose problems like that. Just saying that something is happening doesn't necessarily give a good idea as to why it's happening unless its a problem common enough that people can identify it by symptoms alone. In this case all I know is that you made a mistake but I've no clue where or how to fix it.
So please, help us to help you and most some better and more complete information.

My best guess is all the textures the horse can use are in different sizes.
Make sure they are all in the same size.
Well, normally, when we don’t put a mob / block texture, minecraft takes the original texture from the game, right? In my case, I don't have any custom texture for the horse, but even so my game leaves it invisible and the red screen.
I tried to take the original texture from version 1.8.9 and put it on the texture but it didn't work. I hope there is some way to fix this.

So you're playing version 1.8.9 then?
Does this happen with every resource pack, or just the one that you're creating?
And to clarify, you have no horse textures AT ALL in your pack? Not even default files or the like? I want to be sure on this point.
Also, if the pack follows our Forum Rules (that is, it's 100% your own art and not a mix/edit of others pack or of the default textures and no 'placeholder' default textures remaining in the pack) would you please upload it so that we can test it out?
If your pack has only a few textures that change the horse, then this can be a problem, when their size is different from the original textures Minecraft uses.

About this, I'm still doing it little by little, that is, it still has many textures that are original to the game, since they haven't been changed. And about the other resource packs, I haven't tested it yet. I will test and edit this post showing about.
EDIT: I downloaded a random texture that I found on a website. The result was this:
With both resource pack:
Only with the other resource pack:
NOTE: You can see that in the two images I posted the sky is different from my texture. This confirms that I am using two different textures.

If I understand you correctly, I think you are talking about custom textures of the horse. Well, I haven't made my own texture yet, meaning it's still an original minecraft texture. I even tried to get the texture of the original files from the game version (1.8.9) to "replace" it, but it doesn't seem to work.

There's nothing that I can do. You say you have no horse textures in your pack and yet they still turn invisible when the pack is active. Unless you have another active pack that's doing it, then I'm out of ideas. (Always test one pack at a time, btw.)
I'm assuming that you don't have any Random Mobs files or custom horse models or anything exotic like that, correct? Anything Optifine related? Logically you'd know if this was the case since you'd have added that stuff yourself, but without seeing the pack I'm just grasping at straws.
I genuinely think it's a bug in your version of Optifine. Either update to a newer version or else try making a thread in Java Edition Support and see if anyone there knows. The reason I think this is because turning your entire screen red is NOT something that a resource pack should be capable of. Even a buggy one.

Sorry to disappoint you.
Yes, I have nothing related to custom models or custom random skins (at least not for the horse). Well, I don't know if this could be something related to the version of the optifine of my version of the game, because as soon as I downloaded it, I tried to make the most recent one. About the textures tests, thanks for the tip! Even though I am doing this normally, it is always good to remember that this can cause mistakes.
Regarding support, I don't know how I can ask for help in the Java Edition Support tab.
I hope there is something I can do to fix it, but for now, I appreciate all the support you give to the players. Keep up the great work, always aiming for the best.

Hey, Friend!
I'm back because I discovered something.
I found that when I open the game without the optifine the textures are normal and the screen is not red! I don't know what that can be. If it's something from the optifine version, if it's something in my settings, etc. Well, I think that helps a lot in our attempt to fix the error.
I hope there is some possibility that you can still help me!

As I said, I think it's a bug in your version of Optifine. Knowing that only your Optifine installation is affected reinforces this idea. At the very least I'd suggest reinstalling Optifine on your game. Just delete your current OF profile and start over again. (Make sure you back up your worlds and servers just in case.)
If there's a newer OF version for the version of Minecraft that you're using you could also try updating to it. And honestly, that would be the superior option if its available. Old versions of Optifine aren't going to be fixed so its either reinstall, upgrade, or move to a newer version of Minecraft.

When I found this I went straight to the website to see if they had released a new version. Fortunately I found a new version of optifine - Preview of L6. Unfortunately, when I downloaded it, it didn't change anything we had already talked about. I will try to delete the profile, but I have no hope that this will resolve. I appreciate all the support you have given.

I know this sounds cliche, but have you tried just restarting your computer?
Beyond that, update to a newer version of Minecraft with a newer version of Optifine to go with it. Ancient versions of Minecraft aren't going to change or be updated. I suspect that's the reason that you're staying behind, but this is the consequence of that.
Or I suppose you could try downgrading to older versions of Optifine and see if one of those solves the problem. Though of course then you'll have to deal with whatever bugs the new versions were intended to fix. Always a trade off.

I think restarting the computer was necessary!
Yesterday I was tired and went to sleep. Today I woke up and thought about making a basic model for the pig, to relax. When I joined the game everything was resolved.
Mr. Horse and Mr. Piggy thank all the help!
NOTE: I'll change more the pig texture/model. Don't worry!
I'm not sure whether to be upset or just laugh. Restarting your computer should be the first thing that you try. I put it in basically as a joke because I figured there was no way you wouldn't have done that before posting here.

Well, in this case, I had already restarted the computer several times, but only now that it worked. XD
