I have a lightsaber resource pack, and I want to make it so when I like draw my saber out there is the light saber turn on sound, when I hold it there is this saber sound, etc. How do I do that?
Or the alternative is to use commands testing if the saber is being held, and if it is being held, then a contraption will make it play once for selecting it in the hotbar and continuously play the saber idle sound.
For attack and being attacked, you need to exclude the combat sounds in the resource pack and apply them in the game to fit with the possible delay of less than a tick.
To archive the 1 tick thing, you either need to get into plugin coding for a server, or creating a datapack for both singleplayer and server.
Unfortunately, light sabers are already a thing, for example, a light saber mod exists since 2013, I think and a vanilla Star Wars gamemode on maybe Cytooxien or Timolia, forgot where it was.
