I'm trying to use stained_glass to display my 3d model, but it only shows the shape of the model and not the texture. I've attached a picture so you can see. What am I missing?

You are missing the UV in each face of the model and maybe the texture itself is not in the textures tag. I can't know without the file.

Here's the json file for the model. All the faces have textures on them, but the textures just display on the gui as shown in the picture.

What's at assets/minecraft/textures/custom/red_door.png?

it's the texture that will show on the model.

But the picture at the top shows white stained glass.

Yea I actually renamed that json file "white_stained_glass" in order for it to override the glass.

The json file in the second picture points at assets/minecraft/textures/custom/red_door.png, but the texture shown in the first picture is at assets/minecraft/textures/block/white_stained_glass.png.

Yes. I have no idea why it displays like that.

Does anyone know?

UPDATE: I figured it out by watching a video by "Uncle Jam" on youtube. The video is called "Block Models Breakdown".

The solution was to use the correct file.

it's not, i know how to make a 3d model the problem is glass and i think optifine (not sure tho)

Oh, why didn't you say Optifine first?

Like, it's a flare you can set for the thread itself. (same with the version)
