I am trying to make a model for the furnace that has a hole in the front side. Just one hole. For now it is square, but I want to eventually make it hexagonal if possible to make it match the resource pack I am using.
The model itself works as intended, leaving a hole in the center, but the texture on the block is glitchy - when applied to multiple cuboids, it doesn't offset the part of the texture file used, it just uses its shape coming from the top right corner of the texture. When viewing this in world and in my hand, the textures try to overlay onto one another, producing a glitched, staticy look (I don't know how else to describe it).
The resulting texture issue can be found as a screenshot below. Let me know if you need a more detailed explanation of that.
Any help here would be appreciated (especially if someone can tell me how to get a hexagonal hole to match the furnace texture that will also be attached)!
Thank you Mihro. It's unfortunate that I can't make the hexagonal hole, but I can do without it for now (or if I do get ambitious I can try to make it using small cuboids).

Here is the code for the cube as it is right now:
