In your experience, what is the fastest way to move from editing a pack to viewing the edits in-game?
I've searched around, and been unable to find a good answer.
First, have the highest-level folder of your pack be an actual folder, not a .zip file. This is handy for editing, but something to be avoided when actually distributing the pack. When putting the pack up for download the /assets/ folder should be right inside of the .zip file, but when editing it's useful to have /assets/ be in a regular folder within /resourcepacks/.
From there, just hold F3 and tap "t" to reload all of the resources. Because everything is a regular folder you can edit your textures while Minecraft is open. As long as your machine can handle having Minecraft -and- your image editing software open at the same time this is a great way to get near-instant feedback on your changes.
