So, recently I found this super cute texture pack called sugar high, which is so cute I could die! But, for some reason, it's more laggy than the faithful texture pack, witch is 32x32! In honesty, I'd think it's be the other way around. Has anyone else had a problem similar, or knows a possible solution? If you could help, that would be awesome!

This can happen. Most likely what's happening is that you have either Optifine or MCPatcher installed. Either of those mods bring out a LOT of extra features in packs that take up extra texture memory. I'm not sure exactly what all HoS has in terms of MCPatcher features, but I'm pretty sure I remember seeing fairly extensive Random Mobs support.
In vanilla this can also happen now, as of Minecraft 1.8. With the addition of block models, those who don't know how to optimize their textures or models may inadvertently cause a lot of lag through inefficiency of resource use.
In the first case, you can either not use whichever of MCPatcher's features is causing the lag or just disable things in Optifine's options as applicable. In the second case, you can mitigate some of the issue by turning off Alternate Blocks in your video settings.
Edit: Just checked. Oh yea. HoS has a TON of Connected Textures and Random Mobs support. If these are causing your problems, I suggest disabling them in whichever mod you're using. The pack won't look nearly as good... but your framerate will be better.

Okay, I also discovered the texture pack was 1.8, so I went off of forge, and went into 1.8, so there was no optifine or any mods whatsoever, still awful lag! any clue?

It might have a lot of animations which are bogging you down. I didn't think to check on that. If so there's really not much you can do about that short of editing the pack yourself to remove them. Although I think if you installed Optifine you could also turn animations off in the options.
It may also be as simple as there being a corrupt file in the pack. Try re-downloading it and seeing if that helps. Unlikely, but it's worth a shot.
Edit: Checked again. Yea, the animations are fairly substantial. Wouldn't think they would cause that much lag... but if your system is low on resources every little bit is important.

Turns out turning off animations helped greatly! thanks!
