THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! It now works in 1.7.2 so many of these thanks vulpis, and Alvoria for knowing what to but miss typing (or something like that) either way THANK YOU
Make sure to thank samohtj! If they hadn't pointed it out in another thread, I would never have known either. I'm just passing along the info I spotted.
As someone in that thread pointed out, this kind of info really should be written down somewhere--of course then you run right back into the problem of keeping that listing current as Mojang keeps fiddling with things. :-)
Kudos to samohtj for pointing out the solution to this in another thread.
Turns out the right pathname for this is /assets/minecraft/sounds/records/mellohi.ogg (yep, Mojang moved it again).
i was having a similar problem with changing out 13.ogg (no offence to C418, but that track *sucks*, being very harsh to listen to). Works fine, and now I just have to find more songs I want to convert to .ogg to use. :-)
THANK GOODNESS! pls mary mi u smart best<3
But seriously, thank you, I have been trying to figure this out!
I downloaded the sphax texture pack today. everything was working fine and I logged off. When tried to open my minecraft it said game crash could not fit minecraft glowstone. I tried deleting the texture pack and everything. It will not let me even log on to minecraft. I can't open minecraft to take the texture pack off so I canplay again. What do I do now ? help me.

Just delete the pack from your resource packs folder. In your Windows menu, select "Run" and type "%appdata%/.minecraft/resourcepacks/" (without the quotes), select the pack you're using, and delete it as you would any other file. Run Minecraft again and it should be fine.

"There's always a reason for something."
You have my thanks, Vulpis. I hope you get the reference, but Ave, True to Caesar.
