hey i am posting this here because it is the only thing that i have changed in my minecraft folder. with the new texture pack i am making there is something goofy with the water. it animates just fine but if i jump into the water for any reason the game crashes. any idea why the game is crashing?
nope I'v edited them, without mcpatcher without crashing. it maybe a memory error is my guess.
I would download another resource pack that has custom water / lava, and see if you get the same issue.
if you do, then it's not the resource pack dyzh is working on that's the problem.
i have been using John Smith Legacy pack to get out of the water and it works fine (which supports a custom water texture). the problem has me completely baffled.

This doesn't seem like a resource pack related problem, try asking in one of the other help sections.
You don't need MCPatcher to get custom animations to work. You used to, but you haven't needed to do that since 1.4.
the one thing that i don't understand is i used this water texture in my 1.5 pack and it worked fine then. so i don't understand why it wouldn't work in the new texture pack. and if something is corrupted in the actual data then why do other packs work just fine?? as i said this has me really confused.
Edit: i did change the format in the mcdata as well as the image itself to work with the 1.6 pack design and not the 1.5 design.
