Hey I am very new to textures and stuff and I have a noob question. I copied a pink cherry blossom block from an old texture pack(Bleachcraft) and copied it to a new png file to replace birch(I hate birch). They show up properly but they aren't the right color. Any help? They show up yellowish. I also noticed that in the jar all the leaves were grey. Why is that? And thanks for helping!
If you would prefer to have the link to look at the png just post and I'll put a mediafire link.
Leaves are biome shaded, which means that the base texture is grayscale and it has a color overlayed onto it depending on which biome it's in. To get rid of biome coloring on birch leaves, make a 256x256 image and fill it with flat white. Save it to your resource pack in /assets/minecraft/textures/colormap/foliage.png .
Now that I think about it, you may have to use MCPatcher's Custom Colors to change birch leaves, though you could try what I said first to see if using a mod is necessary.
I think i need the MCPatchers Custom Colors. I did the first one and all my other trees went grey lmao. And the birch still didn't change to pink. Ill try MCpatcher
This is the link to the resource pack as I have it. Can someone please sift through it and fix what needs to be fixed? Then let me know what is set up wrong?
