I'm remaking a old pack of mine and i'm running in to problems i haven't seen before. The textures for birch and spruce leaves are still green despite , me changing the both color maps. also the grass on the sides of grass blocks are green to, but the tops of the grass blocks follow the color maps. i used the converter mojang released to change the pack to 1.6.1 but that some how broke the glowstone block and active glowstone lamp texture. If any on knows how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

Birch and spruce leaves aren't affected by foliage.png or grass.png. You'll have to use MCPatcher's Custom Colors mod to change biome colors for those.
Grass sides are only biome colored when you're in Fancy graphics mode.
Look in a clean minecraft.jar to see how the glowstone and lamp textures should be named, and then make sure your textures are named the same. The converter sometimes gives textures the wrong names, which makes them mess up.
TextureEnder is Mojang's converter.
I'll pretend I knew that from the beginning.
