Hi, I am looking for a mod that allows me to use any texture pack no matter what version it is designed for on 1.8.9. Please could someone direct me to one. If not then possibly a website that can convert packs to older versions. Thanks
I thought you could run a resource pack/texture that's for new versions and use it on old, it just doesn't use all the textures of new blocks. I remember doing this with a 1.7.10 on 1.6.4 or maybe 1.6.4 pack on 1.7.10. I don't know about those later than 1.8.9 but I'd say just go with packs for 1.8.9 anyways.

You could modify the pack.mcmeta file by opening it with a text editor and changing the pack format to 1 save the file and have fun using your resource pack.
