Hey I don't know if this is a common problem or not. So I've been working with music in my new resource pack and all of it has worked fine thus far. Until I came to the Credits music. The credits.ogg file doesn't want to play. On rare occasions I've managed to get it to play for all of five seconds, but usually it's just silent through the entire credits. I've tested it with both 1.9 and 1.8 and it doesn't appear to make a difference. Same thing has happened to me with some other peoples resource packs too. (Which is why I wonder if it's just a common problem with resource packs). If anyone could point me in a direction I would be super grateful.
by credits, do you mean the text that is shown on screen when you go into the end portal after killing the enderdragon? if thats not what you mean then the pc/mac ver of mc doesn't have any 'credits' console mc does( as in credits of a movie). i would need more info and better understanding of the game code/resource pack making to truly help you
I am making a 64x64 resource pack on my Mac. What I have been having trouble with is the sound files (at least that's what I assume is going wrong). At the end, when you beat the enderdragon and the portal has appeared that takes you to the ending script or whatever it is called. I enter the portal, the world goes black and then we see the scrolling "MINECRAFT", and then followed by "I see the player you mean..." etc. This portion is normally associated with a music file called credits.ogg located at assets/minecraft/sound/music/game/end/credits.ogg in the resource pack, which plays with the ending dialogue. For some reason my music doesn't play. I have re-exported it multiple times with no luck. The most I have gotten out of it was about 5 seconds of sound, after which it suddenly goes silent.
i remember from an adventure map i am playing, they say that theres a 1.9 glitch and the sounds from there resource pack can only be changed with the master volume slider. this might help or it might not idk

I've had a similar problem with 1.10.2. the music works about half the time. Sometimes it plays through the whole thing, other times I get a few seconds. It's kinda annoying.

By the way, is there like another thread somewhere where I ought to be asking questions? instead of creating new threads every time?
