I'm new to the forums so don't blame me if this is in the wrong section.
I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to make a resource pack based on the game Evolve. (If you don't know what Evolve is, don't bother reading on) The reason I'm asking this is because I suck at art. A lot. It would be nice if the items could have 3D textures, but I won't be picky. Nobody at PMC would even REPLY to my post there so I am posting here. Thanks in advance.
Okay, I'm going to try to answer everything you said.
First of all, I didn't say it was just going to be for me. Like I said before, I would do it myself if I could.TECHNICALLY, they could get paid if they used an adf.ly link or something.
Also, if using the textures was illegal, wouldn't that make CoD and Halo resource packs illegal? Wouldn't that make game-based skins illegal?
As for what I would want in the pack, I don't care what it is, just make it look like Evolve. Mobs could be Evolve wildlife. The bow could be a gun. Not all the textures have to be changed. It doesn't matter to me.

If they use assets directly from the game, then yes they are illegal. Most packs of that type use original artwork designed to look similar to the source material. As long as it's your creation, even if you're imitating something, it's fine. (Note: Imitation does not mean "copying exactly". It means similar but technically different.)
That's what I meant when I said to make it look like the game. Obviously, it's illegal to use the actual game textures. I'm not stupid, I know how copyrights work.

You would be shocked at how many people we get that are totally oblivious to this fact.
Regardless, the previous statements stand: Nobody is going to spend that much time to make a pack on your request. If the game is popular enough someone will probably make a pack for it, but this is the sort of thing that you need to be a fan of since resource packs tend to take months going on years to create.
