I am looking for an HD Vanilla Resource Pack for 1.8. My computer cannot handle anything over 256x.
For some reason I have not been able to find a Vanilla HD Resource Pack on the few major texture pack sites that I have looked at. All I need is an HD version of the Vanilla textures. No fancy blocks that do not look much like the originals. No new paintings. No fancy glowstone. Just regular old Vanilla Minecraft textures that have been redone to 128x or 256x resolution.
Go on YouTube, and google SrNova. He makes some pretty good texture packs. Also look up StimpyPvP and ApacheBlitz. They all make some pretty sexy packs.

Those packs are unfortunately invariably stolen from artists like Vattic, and highly frowned upon here.

They use faithful from Vattic, but they create their own Swords, and add their own items/twist to it. I personally like them more than any other pack in this section.

It's good that you like stolen content, but please don't promote it on this forum. It's very rude and disrespectful to the artists when you say that you like that people rip off their work, make a few changes, and claim it as their own. You wouldn't like it if someone stole your hard work, so please don't praise people for doing it others.
You like what you like, and that's fine. In this instance though, please keep it to yourself. We don't need people being encouraged to steal from us.
Besides, there's no reason for theft anymore. With the resource packs system they can simply package their own textures and say "put this above Faithful 32x (link here)" and be done with it theft-free. They're choosing to rip off artists rather than getting the same result without the theft, and that's not OK.
As to the topic at hand, I think there's a 128x version of Faithful out there somewhere. I doubt it's any good, though. You can also try R3D craft which adds some realism, though that might not be what you're looking for. Sorry, but there really aren't too many packs that fit the description of "Low-definition pack in HD"

Thanks in advance.
