it looks nice but not as faithfull as i would like
on my PC fps drops to 10-15 from 60-70+ with it, so probably won't use it anyway
i remember how i could easily run x256 texture packs on the same PC in 1.2.5.. but mojang got rid of traditional single player and now everything is so resource heavy
Fair enough. Ever since they started messing with texture, in 1.5, things have certainly gotten slower. But look how far we have come: animated textures, alternating textures, and even 3D models. It's hard to complain, for me at least.
i really like this, everything's subtle but done very well. do you plan on making the rest of the plants 3d like the mushrooms/sugarcane?
I really hope to get the rest done, but I really struggle with finding an easy and lag-free way of making one for every plant. I hope to eventually make detailed 3D models for all the flowers, but for now, let's just say I'm incubating my thoughts
I've been a bit busy working on a small project of mine (may upload it later), so sorry for the lack of updates. Here's what coming up:
-3D pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns
-Less laggy models
-Flowers
-Doors (I'm gonna take another go at it)
-Fixing detector rails (I'm not gonna lie, I'm struggling with figuring out what's wrong!)
-Plants!
Yes, after delaggifying some models, I'm gonna try making some Flowers. Keep in mind that this will take a while to complete, and then I still have to make flower pots. Please give me some suggestions for things such as how saplings should look, I'm having trouble with those! Either way, I hope to release some of my work soon!
Status Update:
Things are going pretty smoothly; I only have a few more doors to finish, but I plan to redo trapdoors as well. I don't think I'm gonna release any plants this update, but at least that means less waiting (right?).
A bug was discovered by me: When you power on an "Powered Rail", with a Redstone torch, the texture of the powered rail changes to a normal rail texture instead of the "activated power rail"-texture!

Nuts, I know exactly what I did wrong :\
Thanks, I'll get right to it!
are there more models coming i use this now on my server with credit to you and its awesome!
Definitely!
found a bug. the furnaces that are unlit you can see through the ground
Thanks, I'll look into it!
Hi, I love this addon pack and hope you keep updating it!One thing I would love to see is random small flowers/stones on top of grass and small rocks and things in dirt. Sphax does this really well and I tried taking the files from sphax and combine it with faithful but it's too complicated for me!It would be awesome if this was available in faithful itself but I don't see that happening!
Sure thing! And on that note, a status update:
I've been very busy lately, lots of work (sorry), but I should have more free time, and will continue to work on this pack. However, flowers aren't going as well as I'd hoped, so please, tell me how you guys want them to look! Until then, I will postpone them in order to continue providing you guys with sweet-looking models. As well, if you have a request, please do not hesitate to give your suggestions!
I'm about to lay out my plans for you all, and would like your opinion on the subject as well:
I'm planning on trying out item models. I've been working with minecraft 3D models for quite some time now (almost a year?), but I still am not satisfied with how the game feels with my models. However, recently I thought that maybe this was because I've been so focused on what I've been looking at, that I've missed a whole other aspect to the game: items. So, to be sure I take this in the right direction, I have the following questions for you, the community, to answer:
1. Do you hope to see item models for this pack in the future?
2. If so, do you prefer nice smooth diagonal shapes, classic pixelized shapes, or just some subtle changes?
3. If you have any specifics or ideas/requests, please list them!
Although the process of block models being produced may be reduced, this doesn't mean that I will completely stop them from coming out. So please, don't hesitate to leave your opinion!
3 in some photos of it I can see 3D smoth sandstone... but it is not in the file that i download. can u fix that?
The reason for this is that I had a sandstone model, but I didn't recieve positive feedback from. Later when CTM comes out for MCPatcher/Optifine, I'll make sure to include these kind of building materials.
Status update:
I plan or releasing the next update before the end of this week. Sorry for the lack of content un this one, but it's something (unexpected sad events ). This update will contain spawners and ores. Although, the next update will contain tools! If I remember, I'll post a pic of the sword I have done. Please give yor suggestions!
It's just a small update, but I decided that I would release one containing some highly requested models so that I can continue to wade in the murky waters of item models. I won't bother putting up a temporary download link, but in the mean time, look at this picture of a sword for the next update, and tell me what you think, as well as your suggestions!
And on that note:
Another Important Idea
How would you guys feel about an MCPatcher addon? It would take the role of MCPatcher's features, such as randomized textures and random mobs. When MCPatcher comes out with these features, it would simply support these features, and I would add bricks, stone bricks, sandstone, and more!

Thanks for that. I noticed this earlier (no clue how it happened) while playing around. Will get to it ASAP.

It's been uploaded, so it's only a matter of time until it shows up on the widget, otherwise, you can get it from here:
