the current texture is over lapping.
Are you asking for a texture of the Chest or a template of the Chest? Or something else? I'm confused with what your asking
Absolutely amazing work, very in depth and useful tutorial well done sir!

Thanks you. I'm trying my best to find new stuff to keep this Guide up to date for the community. Seeing that people are enjoying this makes me happy!!!
On another note:
Also I will be recording videos soon for this guide to help explain certain sections in the guide.
I am looking for a working 32X32 res pack chest texture that i can use as a templet so that the chest i am using wont have overlapping textures
those chests look AWESOME
and i have to agree on needing a good chest template.
The chests in my packs have little work done cuz I don't know what I am doing/am afraid of messing up
Quote from ajalexdgo-nextWhile i was working one a 32X32 texture-pack, i noticed that the texture for chests over lap leaving a graphical error, i have also noticed that all other 32X32 packs, i have toyed with have it too. Here are the textures i was using to try and fix it.is this a minecraft error?
Quote from AlvoriajumpNo, it's an artist error... and possibly some questionable design decisions in Minecraft. At 16x resolution the top row of pixels of the bottom part of the chest needs to be exactly the same as the bottom row of pixels on the top part of the chest. At 32x this is two pixels on each side of the divide, 64x requires 4 pixels, and so forth.
Here is a templet. - let me know if there is anything you need help with.
if i use a texturepack from MC 1.8.1, can i use it for MC 1.7.2, too? Because there are only more textures - or will i get errors?
[quote]Quote from markacashionjump Warning: Only include files in your pack that you have changed. Including vanilla files is not only not needed (as the game will happily use vanilla assets), it adds bloat (definitely do not include vanilla files!!! The fonts add up, too) and is a bad practice in 1.7+, as it breaks ''pack stacking'' ability, because assets won't be missing in your pack to be filled in by other packs.
(More Updates Coming Soon!!!) i wan´t to create a vanilla Texturepack. How can i do that, if i don´t be able to include the vanilla files?
I wan´t to edit a glass-texture from a texturpack LBphotorealistic. It looks like this, if i search for glass:
The folder is named: glass_block. And another folder the same: glass_paneframe
Which from this files do i have to edit? In old versions, there had been only one glass.png. Which one is it? I wan´t the glass look like this:

Glass Problem: It depends on what you are trying to do. Are you trying to edit the the CTM (Connected Textures Mod) or just change the Vanilla glass texture? If you want to edit the CTM glass then edit them all (or which ever you want to really change), BUT if you want the Vanilla Glass Block texture, then edit the assets/minecraft/textures/blocks/glass.png image.
But the glass textures in that picture (that's all numbered) is for the CTM feature in MCPatcher & Optifine. But the one glass texture that you are wanting to edit is the assets/minecraft/textures/blocks/glass.png image. That is the Vanilla texture for glass.
Using a 1.8 pack for 1.7: Yes you can still use a 1.8 pack for 1.7, even though there might be more files, it still will work.
Making a Vanilla Texture Pack: Well only use the texture that you want to change. For example if you ONLY want to change glass then create a texture pack that only has the glass.png image & you don't need the other textures. It makes the pack easier & quicker to load & has less items to check through.
The "Pack Stacking" ability I'm referring to is something that is coded in minecraft (which was implemented in 1.7). What this ability does is that it checks the top most texture pack & changes every texture that is in that pack, if there any textures missing then it will check the texture pack below it & will use the textures from that pack that is missing from the top pack & this process is repeated until it reaches the Default Texture Pack that minecraft uses.
So if you are using Vanilla Minecraft (not MCPatcher or Optifine) & want to change the glass texture from LBphotorealistic, then just create a (very) small pack that ONLY has the glass image that you want to use & place that pack OVER LBphotorealistic pack, then click done & your glass will change.
Hello,
I see you have quite a lot of insight about the resource pack creation, so I turn to you Markacashion in hope that you can maybe explain me/others how to make the banners.
Because no matter what I do, how I do, they still bug out, leaving me with all banners of the same color.
I did even tried to only resize the default mc texture for a banner... but even that bugged.
I mean... WTH?!
I use a 256x256 banner_base.png picture size.
Seems there is some weird issue when it goes above 128px size, because when I create the banners on that res they work O_o
Well let's start to see what the problem is. Are all of the banner images the same sizes? (banner_base.png & all of the /banner folder images?) If not, then that might be the problem.
Becuase how does minecraft know which are the paintings?
I hope u understand me and can help me!
Greats,
Jan Knapen
You can find the image for the painting in the minecraft jar files in the assets/minecraft/textures/painting folder. The image is called paintings_kristoffer_zetterstrand.png

Thank you. I will add this to the Guide. Saved me the time from making a template myself.
I am working on Chisel and Pam's Harvestcraft Mods supports now. Biomes O' Plenty is at 85% completion.

Mostly it is leaves I need to finish for BoP.
Love it!!!
I will add the layout showing what each particle is yes
In game, however, since all blank space to the right of the letter is removed, the text is squeezed together like this:
I can't seem to think of a way to stretch the space on the right of each letter without making visible changes to the letters themselves.
Is it possible?
Fill the background with 1% opacity black.
Putting the CENDENT back in transcendent!
I tried it in game, but I fail to see a difference.
