What happened to the server, by the way? It appears to be down.
I closed it down last night. Unless you aren't talking about my server :tongue.gif:
I am buying a hard drive today so I can get my server on its own PC so we I'll be able to host the Union Server upon the release of 1.8
Also, I am enthusiastically excited about the future of the Union. Also, I have sad news, Grugsy is no longer an Admin, he has other time commitments. But he will stay on as a member and continue to provide feedback and assistance to those who ask! :smile.gif:
ok, so, do you guys remember the announcement about the forum restructuring? That has not gone away. Restructuring is still being considered. Considering that it was that event that started this union we should probably be making more of a presence on the thread made for discussing these issues.
It would also be a good idea to discuss it here (as the union as a whole, not just the admins) and come to a consensus on how we (the T.A.U.) stand on the issue.

Also, just because there is (or should be) discussion going on in skype and tinychat does not mean that there cannot be discussion here. I will attempt to update this thread periodically with the discussions in the IRCs for those who can't join.
UPDATE: As of right now there is no discussion about the proposed restructuring....none...

I haven't posted anything new on that thread Beltir started in the modding discussion forum because I'm trying to prove a point-- nobody goes there, so nobody sees it. Pointless.
I also believe that I have said everything I could possibly say about the issue, and simply repeating myself won't help matters.

Yea, I know. He shouldn't have put the thread there. I do think that you have done your part. I am more concerned about the rest of the union. I suppose that because I said I was speaking for us in my post that may explain why few others have posted. However, there still needs to be a presence of some sort. That thread gets a new comment every other day or so. That is pathetic.
My concern is that the admins will "interpret" it as a sign that we don't care anymore and they can do what they want.

If they do they're braindead. Either that or they can't read.
Just out of curiosity how many of you would leave if they went ahead with the restructuring that was originally proposed despite all the community feedback?

I'd probably move to Mojang Community. I'm almost sick of the management of this place as it is (not necessarily the admins. Curse have their share of blame, too). This would push me over the edge. I'd leave a link in my content threads to there, so that anyone following my work can keep track of it.

I'd ignore their new rules, and if they complain I'd never come back.
Alright folks I am going to add a section to the OP that is a petition signed by members of the union who agree.
Can someone type up a decent list of why we disagree with the changes? I will also include potential consequences of the change if it is implemented, such as the petition signers leaving the site, among other things.
The sooner we can do this the better. I will also add a poll question for it.

Didn't they say that the wishes of the Texture Pack forum have been taken into consideration, and they won't be requiring multiple threads per pack? I believe they moved it to the modding section because it affects the mod authors, too, and they want to hear their opinions on it.

Is there a way to set up some sort of notification for new messages on tinychat?

Lol, some of the admins haven't exactly proved their intelligence.
I can see brain dead happening.
