hi all! so i didn't end up sticking around for long the last time i was here... this time i hope that even if i'm not actively texturing, i can stick around and be a part of the community a little more.
way back in 2012, i started overhauling Puffy Lines, because i'd improved so much since i first made it. a few days ago i picked up where i left off! here's an album of some of the stuff i've done (my understanding is that the album embedding is broken at the moment, so i'll just link it): http://imgur.com/a/sbVvG
i've also been working on and off for the past few years on a 3x3 resource pack that i call Bitty. i'd done 5x5 before, and i wanted to see how low i could go. here are a few shots of that: http://imgur.com/a/hcSXv
i have a bunch of projects i can work on, and i'm feeling like if i rotate them i can keep myself interested for longer.
Hey, welcome back, it's been a while! Puffy Lines is looking pretty good, the only things I don't like are the ores.
hey all...still not dead. lol random question, and forgive me if I've been out of the loop for a few updates... but with the new snapshot adding the directional placement to normal(ish) blocks and the new(ish) addon functionality, does that mean we can do CTM in vanilla now? (basically)
I know that... I meant more of a hacky manual version. lol
more of a, since we can add custom blocks (soon apparently, thought it was in already in since they talked about it being part of the addon functionality), wouldn't it be possible to add a few extra retexture positional blocks with proper textures to use corner, side, center textures and place them manually?
edit: I really don't like the tc block kaleidoscope textures...will probably do this and expand on other blocks to add corner bits and stuff.
edit: something like this. taken in current snapshot.
hey, fishy! it has been a while. thank you, i'm glad you like most of the work so far. i understand about the ores, although personally i'm very pleased with how they turned out.
i've done some more work, and amongst other things, i've made mushroom stuff, doors and leaves. here's another album: http://imgur.com/a/evkDO
i also have a few questions:
1. in the heyday of the Union, there was a Minecraft server that we had that was maintained by drfrozenfire. i think it's a bit of a long shot, but does anyone have anything like that now? just on the offchance that one exists.
2. we also used to have a Skype group for texturing discussion. is there a modern-day version of that, like a Discord server? if there isn't i might set one up.
