It doesn't look quite as good in the game, as I should have suspected.
I think you should make the glass on the potion a little thicker, right now it's so thin it actually looks like a graphics error. I think giving it a slight blue tint would also help blend it in a little more.
As for the stand itself, I actually think it looks very nice apart from the triangle at the top. It looks very peculiar when in-game since it's copied around to make it look more 3d and it just looks a bit strange. It's also a little bulky and plain compared to the rest of the stand which looks quite finely crafted and delicate.
I really need your people's opinions on something.
Which grass color do you think looks nicer, this:
Or:
Oh yeah, I'm also not using biome shading, so this would be the color of grass everywhere.
Thanks!
Personally I would say the first one. This is because my taste in packs is a kind of desaturated/non happy feel.
The first would be for the effect of adding an atmosphere of shadiness(?)
I would use the second if you wanted a bright, happy feel to the pack.
My points are rather obvious, but I might as well put them out there.

I like the second one the most. However, the first might be easier to biome tint. Grass with more green in it looks more alive while yellow looks like it's dying.
I'm hoping to get feedback on some pixel art that I've been working on for the past week(to hopefully be made into a pack, later down the track).
I reckon, IMHO, that I've improved since last time, and here are some pics.
Explosion(only a quarter complete)-Ingame-
Particles and some sort of structure and stronghold

It all looks great apart from the chest. The wood looks rather messy and the lighting/shading for the metal bands is all over the place.
Great start though, it's looking very nice in general!

Thanks. I have always hated texturing the chest, just because of the mapping. It always confuses me.
I tried to get a "round" lid for the chest, but that didn't really work out.
Very nice. A few suggestions: Add a bit of antialiasing around the diagonal highlights on the stone slabs, just so it's a little less sharply pixely. Shade those vertical straps on the chest a bit. It wouldn't hurt to make one column of pixels a little darker or lighter on each strap. Those explosions are excellent so far, but add in a few that are just smoke for a good mix. Actually, your explosion screenshot reminds me of...

As I said before, the chest is a complete hassle for me. The colours are right, but the wood and metal (basically every element of it) I made wrong. I tried making the lid like one of those wooden barrels. Planks that curved to make a lid, with the metallic bands holding it together.

Just a bit more shading on the metal bands would make it tons better. It's just a few low opacity black lines, really.
I love that pack Sheep, truth be told I kinda hope you continue it into a fill pack, and gives me the idea to make an alpha convert of Glendale XD
Anyway, a few days work and I remade that water.
I tell you animating this to make it TILE was a nightmare, it also got bumped up to 25 frames.
The other water animation:
Yeah way to busy.
I may offer it however, along with other 'failed but nice' textures for free use so long as credit is given.
Both are impressive, but both seem kinda busy to me. A little veiny looking. Though I'm not sure how they would appear in-game. It might look better with cyan highlights instead of white, but again, dunno how it looks in-game.
I redid my stone (again) and did grass, grass side, and dirt.
Stone:
Grass Top:
Grass Side:
Dirt:
They all tile well. Any feedback?
Textures look fine however I would put some shading at the bottom of the grass on the side grass. It kinda just looks pasted on and doesn't show much depth.

I see what you mean, so here's a quick edit:
I'm considering starting a WIP thread, but it needs a name. I was thinking SilverLeaf, but apparently that's the name of a texture pack that hasn't been updated since beta 1.8... so yeah. I think I'll go with it, though.

Make a renderpass 3 (it's 3, right?) overlay over the blaze rod bit so it glows in the dark. It would look tons better.

Oh and this is for the alpha pack challenge, so being alpha, it's not necessary to see inside the cage as the spinning mob was invisible anyways.
