If anyone is interested, I threw together a terrain and txt file for all the new terrain blocks that can be used with the unstitcher. Just save the code below as a txt file (name it stitched_blocks_2 or something), and put it into the 'stitches' folder of the unstitcher app. Then save the png as stitched_blocks_2 as well, and save it in the same folder. After that, in the textures folder, make another folder alongside 'blocks' and name it 'blocks_more' or something. Finally, when you run the unstitcher, make sure it's taking stitched_blocks_2 and funneling it into blocks_more. After that, just copy pasta all the pngs in the blocks_more folder into the blocks folder of your texture pack. Voila.
EDIT: I was going to give you a png with the default textures, but apparently I am the biggest moron on the planet, because I tried to save the photoshop file as terrain_1.7.2, and now it's corrupted. But yeah, don't use my textures. Use your own. Hopefully it should be pretty obvious what they all are. If not, skim the txt file-- that will tell you where everything is.
NOTE: NEVER EVER EVER USE A "." IN YOUR FILE NAMES!!!

I've just spent my entire morning manually checking every texture in the default assets folder for new ones so i could start on the 1.7 update, because i couldn't find a full list of everything anywhere... less than an hour later, you post one.

Photoshop can handle files with any sort of name, but your system may not recognize them as belonging to photoshop, or photoshop may not know which type of file it is.
Try removing the "." and add back in the correct file extension, for instance ".png" for PNGs.
From left to right: Sunflower (top too big? Petals made with yellow dye rotated in a compass, the center probably needs shading.)
red tulip, orange tulip (too light?), white tulip, pink tulip, blue orchid, poppy (rose), allium, oxeye daisy.
Missing are: paeonia, houstonia, and double flowers (so hard to texture!).
Shown w/ sand that has less contrast and a higher brightness, so it doesn't look like diamond jagged stone

Yeah, that sunflower is way too big, and the orange tulip is so light that it looks pink.

Tried that. Still corrupted and won't open. ;u;
Oh well, at least it wasn't anything that required a lot of artistic elbow grease.
EDIT: wut.
Is anyone else getting this? One side of the bed looks fine, but on the other the head/foot are reversed.....did they add in a second set of bed side textures, or is the mapping just screwed up?

The mapping is just bugged. 1.7 is probably the most broken update we've had in a while.
The squares you have chosen line up in quite a few places, which the brain sees as a "pattern" and thus it's a tiling error. This is made worse by the fact you have chosen to use perfect squares, which already have a few pixels lining up already (which itself is bad for tiling).
If you tried renaming it to terrain_1.7.2.psd (and it actually is changing the extension) and it didn't work I don't know what the issue could be. I don't see how using a dot in the name could cause any issues, unless it's an issue with DTD's unstitcher itself. Minecraft even has all of the .mcmeta files with dots in them (clock.png.mcmeta) and those work fine.
Maybe you could try opening it with GIMP and see what happens?

Final question of the day:
I've tried this before and,
The way Minecraft handles languages is using .txt files with all the translations in it (NOT in chronological order of feature release date), so if I was to edit the name(s) of something it would show up in the game. However, since Minecraft updates so spontaneously, what do you do when a new feature is added? Do you find the line of the new feature and add it to your language pack or is there any other way?

You don't need to do anything. Minecraft will automatically look for what's missing in the default lang files. In fact, much like a resource pack, you can pick and choose what you want to change and only include that.
Back to the .mcmeta thing, I have applied blur to shadows, I have applied blur to the options background, and I have applied clamp to the end sky (but that's just .....weird) in testing (didn't keep it). But yeah, it's limited.

Yes, it has been reported quite a lot to Mojira.

I just saw it on the wiki for resource packs
It's apparently a texture property.

EDIT: @macadamia
I thought it was only for shadows.
Is it applicable to normal textures? I'll try it out because the conditions it edits seem fun to play around with. Will post results.does absolutely nothing to normal textures

That's only used for some of the 'utility' textures, like the vignette.
