Anyone have any tips on tiling? No matter what I do with my textures you see tiling errors.
copy the original texture then move it left half the width and move that extending bit over to the left of the original left side, the repeat for vertical. basically making the sides in the center. repeat as necessary

Guten tag, may I make a post here?
I just discovered this thread after searching for a good RPG-themed texture pack. SiiKana and FishyMint, your works are my favorites so far.
I have a few textures that I've been working on for a little. I was wondering if I could get some feedback and criticism on 'em? Danke!
Cobblestone:
Anvil-- (from left to right) undamaged, slightly damaged, and very damaged:

Bed (decided to do a cool quilted pattern for the blanket):
-
Anvil base and the beacon textures:

Edit: More screenshots of the bed

Perhaps you could show the cobble tiled so we could see if there is a problem with tiling. Also I am not quite sure as to where the light source is on the cobble, top right I am guessing?. It does have a neat design to it though.
I couldn't find any use for that feather-looking thing on the bottom, so I just kept it default.
It's similar to the blobs all over the iron golem, in that their just random pixels that aren't used. I think it's just someone at Mojang experimenting with colours.

Sure thing!
I'm creating multiple CTM textures for it as well (or working on it, at least xP), so that the pattern isn't so monotonous and patterned-looking. And yes, the light source is from the top-right.

I have this old tiling chart lying on my Imgur, maybe it'll help?
Is that the same as Gimp's offset feature?
Forgive me for being naive, but how do I use this?
Open it up along side of whatever sheet you have for texturing, and just try to mimic the designs
I only use GIMP for resizing without interpolation. I know nothing else of it than that.

Is the soaked sponge just being darkened or is there a texture for that?

Unless you are doing a texture of something man-made or doing a pack with a highly stylized/geometic design, i highly recommend against it.
Avoiding "Tiling errors" is the trick of trying to hide repeating patterns.
Nobody knows but jeb. It isn't in a snapshot yet.

It's still a decent enough start

In-game:
Nice textures. You have some unique shading techniques and I'd be interested to see more of your work.
Welcome back! Sweet textures

Who else is getting memories of the original Legend of Zelda from that pic.
Looks like a miniboss in Majora's Mask to me.
Sure thing!
