Ooooh Minty fresh stuff Fish! Really like the Furnace. Though I do like the spiral-ish look on the righthand wood pillar on the face there, if you add it on the left it would look stellar. Just a thought.
Crimsolite, that is a beastly pack so far, really like the gem/metal blocks. Got a feeling of something classic in the gaming spectrum going on there.
And OMG 13th that stained glass is EPICCCCC!!!! I can't wait to see the end results you have for us 'round the bend.
Sorry I haven't posted in a while this week... My cat's been ill and it's taken most of my focus away from well anything artistic.
He's gettin' old though (Ol' dude was born Jan 2000, so he's pretty old for a cat.)
Everyone keep it up! I'll try to post something here soon.
Oh okay, so I guess it just doesn't matter too much. Though I think mob skins are 8x8 because the pieces that make up a mob are smaller than blocks, so a pixel on a 8x8 mob's face would appear almost the same size as a pixel on a 16x16 block. I think I will stick with 8x8 for everything though, as making myself go to 4x4 is just too limiting I think.
I'm trying to make the mobs look more consistent with my 32x pack. So bats won't get a texture size increase, most mobs are doubled, and ghasts got a quadruple increase.
@Fishymint, they are looking so yummy very nice dude very nice
@13th, ah ha finally we see the stained glass and you haven't dissapointed, green i think is the stand out for me the others are nice but that one particular jumps out so look forward to trying it out. Your art is ever improving and you really are honing and refining your skills, with that abundance of creativity you possess.
Very cool, man. Question can you produce this type of work at high resolutions i'm talking 512x 1024x area...... as in more current PC titles? I'm keeping my eye on you for a possible "dark" project. Nothing solid yet but Syclone interactive is talking about various game projects Ooh an understanding of normal maps/spec/grime maps also would be very useful.
I would add some reflection from the fire on the burning furnace, it looks really cold right now. But man, dat stone. DAT STONE! i can't wait to see the ores you make!
It's a bit lighter around the fire, but yeah I should make it look warmer.
Haha, that's pretty cool actually. Think I may give myself sunglasses then if I can take them off whenever.
Your textures seem very dark with only a thin line of highlight in the center of planks. Also, not that it's needed, though most texturepackers here seem to make planks different textures rather than simple recolors, but it's up to you.
I love the dark oak, but the color of the acacia planks bothers me. In both vanilla and real life, acacia is quite bright. Why did you choose such a gray color?
It really does look nothing like Acacia. But this does:

I've never really tried anything high res, but i don't see why it would be all too different. It would probably be a bit easier when it comes to rust and such to get the texture right, since i'd be able to get finer grit.
But yeah, the green is by far my favorite as well.
My Lithos:Luminous add-on ships with lightmaps. It took a lot of work to get the right balance between "noticeable" and "over-saturated", but i think i did it-- at least it's the balance i wanted to reach. Unfortunately it seems duller in screenshots.
Can anybody recommend a map with a nice stained-glass cathedral for screenshots?

Recently, I've been feeling really unmotivated to working on my pack. Does anyone have any ideas that might keep me motivated?
Sometimes taking a nice break can do wonders... I feel that sometimes I just get tired of Minecraft, which in turn gives me little reason to work on my texture pack.

I barely even play Minecraft anymore, the only times I play it is when I'm testing my pack in game.
I think it's pretty good so far, but there could always be some way to improve that I've missed. Opinions?

Do what works for your pack.

So, i couldn't not say anything *sigh* http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/2287546-good-resource-packs/
Been working with Cody on some tweaks to SEUS and the results are looking amazing folks! New norma/spec maps for CH

Go check it out and tell me what you think perhaps? :3
(I'll put a screenshot of it right here so this post catches more attention..)
He already has, hasn't he?
EDIT: Here.
I must has!
Also, the lapis block is odd because the other two ore blocks like it have a smaller square in the middle.
Whoa we're the same age
I've been here for a loooooooooong time.

They're great! Though, I'm getting this odd, almost MediEvil vibe from the shaders in the second image. Maybe it's just me :L
Not just you, i see it that way as well. But there's nothing wrong with that. I think it's the color of the light map that gives it that effect.
I should play that again...
