N'ways, how does this stone look?
Tiled 4x4
there's one bit of stone that looks like 2 pebbles stuck together, bisected wrong. looks like its showing a bit of seam, actually. it can be seen tiled throughout, but you can find what i mean looking at the top, directly in the middle, 3rd pebble down. the peanut looking one has a seam.
I know this. Im also a photographer (been doing work professionally for over 6 years) I know all about lighting and can ramble off lighting ratios in my sleep
What im saying is that it will still look nothing like gold in its molten stage. It will still be glowing red in the bright sunlight. The melting temperatures of gold are 1945 degrees Fahrenheit for 18 karat and 1550 degrees for 24 karat.
Mercury would be pretty cool. i always used to trip out as a child because mercury is a solid, but tooks like a liquid. lol

great, now to figure out how to make a bubbling pool of mercury.
I made my lava texture for Fear (one of my packs) quicksilver. It looks pretty similar, actually.
Don't even ask how this happened, it's only the overlay I believe. Damn rainbow glitch be in my way of accessing my folders and stuff, so no work on Texture Packs until it's fixed (Oh it better not need a master reset I've spent way too much time on my 32x)
EDIT: Oh yeah, typing this on my school laptop provided by the government, who where probably behind the virtual terrorist attack to my precious baby D:

that's not a glitch. your screen is broken. try pushing on it *very* gently. barely touch it, it should send waves going through it. that means its broken.

Retired Staffi had that pack awhile ago i think... never really used it because my computer isnt great (256x, i believe?)
anyway, ive updated optifine, so ill give it another try.
no worries, im not going to copy off ya or anything, i meant... perhaps ill gain some inspiration, and learn a bit of method.

well, no offense, but if anything that made me decide against going with mercury as lava.
silver lava would just look wrong with the color pallet im going with of golds, browns, and greens.
