Did you try "TerraFirmaCraft"? I have found that mod namespaces are not always their folder names. You can find the namespace through the /give command by tabbing.
I'll give it a shot, thanks.
BTW, I'm not sure if I'm just doing this wrong, but when I type in /give and hit tab, nothing happens...

Maybe "TFC" instead of "terrafirmacraft" then?
Possibly, but since you're using 1.6, mcpatcher should use the folder name for the namespace. This is all under the assumption that the tile "Thatch" is in the /textures/blocks/plants folder inside the "terrafirmacraft" folder in "assets" and is used on a block that can have CTM, and that your properties file does not specify render pass.

yeah, the path is right, and the ctm works when I specify block ID; No render passes. It just won't take my matchTiles
Does renderPass only work on certain blocks? I'm trying to use a renderPass 1 repeat texture with a renderPass 3 ctm overlay, but only the ctm borders show up.
What's weird is that I've done the same thing with my glass block and both textures show up. Could this be something associated with glass supporting transparency by default?
I think that the overlay pass has to be the same method as the base (this wasn't always the case -- seems to be new in 1.7).
Congratulations Deonyi. Your guide is now in the "All-Inclusive UPDATED Guide to Texturing". It appears here. Thank you for creating an amazing guide that explains CTM for everyone who doesn't know/understand it.
matchTiles is by default relative to /textures/blocks. Any other directory will need the full path specified, eg. ~/ctm/iron/base.png or biomesoplenty:/textures/blocks/holydirt.png
Biome names are basically the F3 display names with the spaces removed, eg. "ExtremeHills+" or "MesaPlateauFM". Biome names are separated by spaces.
Do anyone have any idea why this is happening? It happens only, ONLY, to Gray, Light Gray and Black Stained Glass. It's the three glass in the middle, and they are in that order. I used two other stained glass to the right and left to show that this only happens to my gray, light gray and black glass.
Edit: Fixed. The tiles were "indexed" rather than "RGB", so I ran this imagemagick command to fix that:
Hi everyone, I have some problems with a Resource Pack I'm using. The RP is called "Halcyon Days 1.2", made by ikezou for Minecraft 1.7.9.
All of these are from the same well-known bug in Minecraft. It has absolutely nothing to do with the pack, or with CTM. It's been fixed in the latest version of Minecraft, so if possible please update to 1.7.10. (Don't worry, the pack will still work)
Any chance someone could elaborate on how to get biome specific textures to work?
In my stone.properties file I was able to specify the correct textures (we'll say textures 1-10) to the correct biomes, but then the following textures for other biomes wouldn't show up.

Are there any example files out there for that?
Thanks!
When multiple.properties files affect the same block &/or tile, the first matching one (in alphabetical order by filename) will be used.
If you could post your .properties files & tell us if you are using Optifine or MCPatcher(CTM works differently between both of them), & we will be able to help you better.
I'll give it a shot, thanks.

Another way to find the namespace is to look in the Forge client logs when it is creating the block registry. Look for lines like this:

I don't want to see THIS.
Thanks a lot.
Btw, thanks for this guide, is very useful for me

Regardless, why use 1.7.9 when you can use 1.7.10? A RP for 1.7.9 works in 1.7.10.
