Just as fish said... there is no way.. if you want the side grass to look like fast, then you have to either
1. Play on fast, so the side biome grass isn't overlayed on top of the grass block
2. Give up all biome coloring so all the grass is the same color
A Guide to Animated Textures
.....> Animating Flowing Water and Lava
I feel really stupid, however when I have my 128x water/lava used, it zooms in quite a bit, and it flows perfectly fine, other than being super zoomed in...
However, when I do it like in this guide where I have it twice as wide (so the file is 256x instead of 128x like originally) for some reason both my flowing water and flowing lava randomly freeze in place for a moment, and then a few seconds later it continue flowing for some reason, and it's been making me go crazy with frustration haha.
I've tried having the textures side by side, and by having one in the middle, and two halves on each side like in the tutorial, and it still freezes for some reason, can anyone guide me to where my stupidity lies? Here are the flowing water/lava textures I am using (I'll post them where the main one is in the middle with the two halves on the sides)
I'll warn you, my lava is VERY long, it is near the max length a PNG file can be (which is 30k pixels), coming in at 234 frames, while my water is significantly smaller at 64 frames.

EDIT* Nvm, apparently it's a stupid Minecraft bug that has to be fixed =/
Exactly, But how do I make the grass side block look like the green grass in-game so it will look the same?
What you mean? i think that you mean to get the grass texture from the grass block, right?
Well it's easy; as it is seamless, you can duplicate the grass' layer and put it over the grass side block. Then, you make an opacity like 50%, and edit it however you like.
Actually, it's not a stupid minecraft bug. You have to change your lava_flow.txt and water_flow.txt files.
I hope this helped.
No, it is a bug, I found it listed on Mojang's bug tracker thing, and apparently it's causing a lot of people to pull their hair out haha. And yes, it occurred when I had a properly formatted properties file, but once I have a blank one, it works fine, minus the lava animating way too fast.
This is a helpful guide, however there is a minor mistake at the HD resolution part. It says 32x32 is "doubling the pixels," but it's actually quadrupling the pixels. 1x1 would be 1 pixel and 2x2 would be 4 pixels.

I don't know. I pulled a little of my hair out working on that, but I thought i figured it out. I'll look into it, and see if anything changed, but just remember that any reported bug is not necessarily an actual bug.

Yea, if you could figure out why it's being stupid that would be great, it's painful seeing my lava being broken;_;
So if have a question feel free not to answer it may be stupid but what programs can increase an image without blurring. I have no money and so i cant use Photoshop i have gimp but its not working right So if anyone knows of a program that can do iit without blurring that's free that would be great thanks.
The water also doesn't work, however I just use a blank properties file and it's fine since I just had the water flow at a speed of 1 anyway, so with a blank properties file it runs without any hiccups.

All of them. When you resize an image you'll get a number of options on the type of resize. You want one called nearest neighbor. That keeps the pixels as close to the default as it can.
Sorry, I am a rookie when it comes to textures but, I was making one and now with this new update, it seems that instead of using one .png image called terrain in the texture pack folder, we have one individual .png image for each block and item? So, do I have replace each individual one with the blocks I want or can I do it differently? I am really misinformed.
Now about custom terrain animations, I had a few of them (like animated furnace, animated diamond blocks and etc.), what do I do now to integrate them into the game with this latest patch?
-All biomes the same color, no fast problems.
-Biome shading, fast problems.
It's not possible to have biome shading and no fast problems without a new mod.
1. Play on fast, so the side biome grass isn't overlayed on top of the grass block
2. Give up all biome coloring so all the grass is the same color

Do you mind posting your lava_flow.txt just so i can verify it?
EDIT Actually, can you send me whichever text file corresponds with the broken animation?
Sure thing, here are both =)

What do you mean? Like, swap them?

Thanks in advance!
Like modify them.
And didn't you realize that Paint.NET doesn't allows .PNG textures? That's why i tell everyone to NOT use Paint.NET...
