How do I make my CTM glass (original method) work on glass panes too?
Either you endure the horrible version MCPatcher has that's quite buggy, or you use Optifine. I'd recommend the former because MCPatcher has more features texture-wise.
I'm new to CTM and was wondering if anyone could help me with a small problem I'm having. I'm trying to assign 3 random tiles to the final growth stage of wheat to give it a little more of an organic look. So far I have this:
I've used metadata 7 as from reading the wiki I understand that the final growth stage is 7? It doesn't seem to be working. I have this info in a file called terrain59.properties. I've also tried block59.properties. I'm not even sure if those names are correct or not. Any idea what could be wrong?

Ignore the wiki's tips on metadata. You need to use tileIDs=95 for the final stage, and you can call the file anything you want. Basically, your file should read:

Yeah i have other CTM textures working fine, I even altered them to use your instructions in the last post and the Coal Ore that I tested it with works fine. The wheat however, doesn't.
I'm thinking maybe it has something to do with the fact that it isn't a normal block, but a bunch of single faced textures? However that really shouldn't affect it because it's still taking the texture from terrain.png. But I'm not sure not what else it could be
Well, if you think about it, Glass Panes are pretty buggy using CTM, and they're not a normal block, so most likely it's something to do with that. Sorry, I really don't know what it could be asides from that.
No weights, no IDs, no metadatas.
Just name the file terrain95.properties, and make sure it is a properties file and not a text file with .properties in the name.

tileIDs= works exactly the same. I know what I'm doing.
Still seems fairly pointless to me. If you name it the tileID, it's easier to look at your CTM files and judge which is which without having to open each one.
And then what?
Could you give me an example properties file of if I wanted to make my sand have a custom north side, and it is tile 115 on my ctm sheet?
(No, I do not actually want to do that, I just want a random example of how it is used)
source=/ctm/ctm.png
method=fixed
tiles=115
tileIDs=[sand]
faces=north
If you had looked more carefully, you would see there is sample code.

source=/ctm/randomizer.png
method=random
tiles=160-162
weights=25 25 25

Don't worry about weights, it sorts those out automatically based on an average.
I'll be answering any questions anyone has.
Unfortunately that didn't work

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
I have the *cough*obvious*cough* solution!
Just do this:
source=/ctm/randomizer.png
method=random
tiles=160-162
No weights, no IDs, no metadatas.
Just name the file terrain95.properties, and make sure it is a properties file and not a text file with .properties in the name.

Well he said it didn't work, and what is the point of tileIDs if you have to name the file the tileID anyways?
You don't. You can name it whatever you like as long as you have tileIDs.
block46.properties
terrain22.properties
terrain92.properties
is so much easier to understand than
TNT Top Replacement.properties
Grass Randomiser.properties
Stone Brick Connector.properties.
