Well, the only problem was the block assignment info, as you were so enthusiastic to point out
I know I'm so sorry that I was so enthusiastic about it, I should have been more professional but that does not mean I should not have told you, otherwise it would be a lie!
I'm sorry.
Hopefully my CTM thread will be up pretty soon depending on when I get my PC fixed or when I'm un-lazy enough to use my iMac AND PC together, which takes forever.
But it doesn't seem to want to replace rail graphics at all. I have tried all types of various things, even using terrain128.properties but still no luck.

Hmm... I wondered about that once.
Once I figure it out I'll put it in my guide and tell you, kk?

Thanks, though I'm hoping to get my pack done with the halloween update next week. I could get ladders and even doors swapped but for some reason rails won't.
Oh, so it has like a support beam running under the rails?
Not exactly. My rail has gravel underneith, which I think looks great and makes rails look interesting... but it looks like crap floating in the air when the rails slope up.

HOW DID YOU SWAP LADDERS AND DOORS?
You must give me your pack! Pwease? I WANT TO DOWNLOADS!

I hadn't thought of that. I use gravel too, I'll see if I can figure it out.
perhaps the error is in defining blockIDs, which we've determined doesn't work so well.
Also, in that snippet you never define metadata, but I assume you've been doing so.
I'll put together an actual texture test this time, just to make sure.

I removed blockIDs to see if it was that and that did nothing. It did have metadata at first but I removed it to see if I could even get the regular rails changed, and that didn't work either. I even tried doing it via terrain<n>.properties but that wouldn't work.

Aight, well, here's a copy of my pack, which has inclined rails that are working. If they don't work on yours then I'd suggest repatching your game. If they do, then the problem lies in your block66.properties file, or your ctm.png. http://cl.ly/0t0k2N3R1X3l

Right now I have a file
block66.properties:
blockIDs=66
source=/ctm/ctm.png
method=fixed
tiles=15
But it doesn't seem to want to replace rail graphics at all. I have tried all types of various things, even using terrain128.properties but still no luck.

Because I need a different texture for sloped rails, and if I can get this working I can accomplish that using metadata.

Try adding faces=top.
I don't think that would work since he/she can't even get it working with any method or anything.

The metadatas:
West Incline: 2
East Incline: 3
South Incline: 4
North Incline: 5
So,
#/ctm/block66.properties
source=/ctm/ctm.png
method=fixed
tiles=0
metadata=2 3 4 5
Well that's strange, because I just did.
You said your code looked like
block66.properties:
blockIDs=66
source=/ctm/ctm.png
method=fixed
tiles=15

Well thanks for your help. I copy/pasted your block66.properties and still no luck.
Here's what it looks like in game(and also showing that CTM is working with pillars and my ladders):
And here's my zip/file:
And my ctm.png file:
I also tried your pack. I don't know what the sloped rails are supposed to look like with yours, but I don't think it's working:
I'll repatch it now, but I'm not suspecting much of a change.
edit: Okay, repatched and still no luck.
