I have MC version 1.6.4 and I really want to use the Rise of Tradonia pack. I've seen videos of people with my version of MC using this pack but when I try it wont even show up in the list.
I love how we just had a big forum reorganization so that people would be obvious where a thread should go, even to new people... and an obvious help request thread gets put into Resource Pack Discussion. Great Job everyone.
Do you have the correct version of Rise of Tradonia?
Considering it says right in the thread title that Rise of Tredonia won't be updated to 1.6 until late fall or winter... I'm guessing the answer is no.
@Darkranger85: You'll have to convert the pack using either Dinnerbone's Texture Ender program, or MCPatcher's Convert Texture Pack function. I recommend the later. Just be aware that some things, like the horse's jump bar, won't work with the converted pack unless you take the time to manually add them.
And clicked the image that says "Click here for 512x"
Read my post above.
As an addendum, packs that work for 1.4 and below do NOT work in 1.5. Likewise, packs for 1.5 do not work for 1.6 and above. They are three distinct stages of development that are not compatible, thus the need to convert the pack to the new format in order to be able to use it.
Tried converting it with MCPatcher and it still doesn't show up.
And sorry about posting in the wrong area.
If you have MC for the PC then listen to my instructions. Click on "My Computer." Now find "Application Data." Now go to your minecraft folder. And go to resource packs. Now put your texture pack into the folder. OR YOU CAN DO THIS: GO INTO MINECRAFT OPTIONS, OPEN "RESOURCE PACKS" , OPEN "OPEN RESOURCE PACKS", & DRAG FILE INTO FOLDER.
Also check the zip file to make sure the actual textures and such are inside. If this doesn't work then I am so sorry for wasting your time.

The instructions for how to do this aren't entirely clear.
Put the .zip file containing the pack into the /texturepacks/ folder of your .minecraft directory. If you don't already have this folder from an older version of Minecraft, create it. Once the pack is in this folder, run the 1.5 to 1.6 converter, selecting this pack. In a few moments it will create a new .zip file with the same file name in your /resourcepacks/ folder. This should function properly.
And as for Sphax, unfortunatly I tried that already. And I tried downloading it from every other website I could possibly google.
All of them send me to adfly where it gives me an error.
Adf.ly doesn't give me an error, but bdcraft's site does. It tells me I have an unauthorized browser. I'm using Firefox. *shrug* So yea, I think their site is borked.
i am trying to get a texture pack but it does not show it in the texture pack thing on main mc menu i downloaded it and put it into the folder of resource pack but it will not work??

Well... first you bumped a thread from over a year ago. Second you didn't give any useful information like what pack you're using, what version of Minecraft you're using, what operating system you're on, or anything else that might actually give someone a clue as how to help you. Finally, please familiarize yourself with capitalization and punctuation. People are more likely to try to help you if they can more easily read your post.
I've experienced this problem with the pack not showing up, and what I did was I went on the back and dragged one of the RP1 files(idk if this applies here) into my Minecraft resource pack file. Then it showed up on the in-game list.
Then again I'm not very computer savvy so I have no idea if this might be the case or not

No big deal. Apparently it's mostly where you think it should go so if you feel this deserves discussion, it does. Great system, no?
I followed thos exact steps on MCPatcher and it's still not working.
It's just really frustrating. Ever texture pack I want to use doesn't work.
Sphax
Rise of Tradonia
Dragon Dance
Course, to be fair it's not that Sphax doesn't work, I just can't find a functioning download for it.
Any system variables that could be affecting how MCPatcher works? What operating system are you running? Which version of Java?
For Sphax, look at http://bdcraft.net/download-bdcraft-texturepacks. Scroll down and you'll see several buttons that state the resolution and game version. You should be able to download it.
And my Java version is Version 7 Update 40.

It's a spectacular pack too!
Sorry if I posted in the wrong spot... first time using the forum...
You can also reply to "Resource Pack Help" forum created by me....
